Faithful Stewardship, a Key to Prosperity

Those serving God for the purpose of obeying Him and complete reliance on God for rewards have unprecedented access to heaven's treasure and earthly gains. They are ready for the showers of blessings
 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo

Introduction
“Prosperity is a mindset. It is your expectation. Expect to expand your wealth, wealth of knowledge, relationships, income, and wisdom.” Anonymous. In other words, prosperity begins from the mind. When there is poverty in the spirit, surely you will have it manifesting in the physical. Therefore it is important to put your mind in order. Jesus said, “31 therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:31-33; Jer. 29: 13; Jam 4:8; Hos 10:12-13.
We are considering Faithfulness in our stewardship as key to building prosperous kingdom people. By the special grace of God anointed Ministers of God will be leading our thoughts beginning from Monday 4th till Sunday 10th of February 2019. I want to implore all members especially leaders and workers to avail themselves. As we are preparing for this wonderful session, let us observe the followings:
1. Beware of Negligence
As leaders and children of God called to serve in the vineyard of God, we must beware of negligence of responsibilities. King James Version Dictionary defines negligence as “Habitual omission of that which ought to be done, or a habit of omitting to do things, either from carelessness or design. Negligence is usually the child of sloth or laziness, and the parent of disorders in business, often of poverty.” God sent Prophet Ezekiel to warn shepherd and tell them the grave consequence of negligence. Ezekiel 34:1-ff
2. Be Diligent in Serving the Lord.
To be diligent, you need to be consistently persistent in carrying out whatever you are to do. Apostle Paul says, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” Romans 12:11 Every faithful steward serves with diligence and honesty.
3. Be ready for accountability and reward.
You will be required to give account of your service to God and your neighbours. Whatever you possess or to possess are not just for you to enjoy but to lad others to Christ Jesus. Your life and every blessing attached will be accounted for.
3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Beloved, the foundation for building prosperous kingdom people is making peace with God and putting your trust in His promises. Whatever you do in God for God must be borne out of faith and trust. Serving God without faith is an abomination.
Those serving God for the purpose of obeying Him and complete reliance on God for rewards have unprecedented access to heaven's treasure and earthly gains. They are ready for the showers of blessings. I encourage you to put all your trust in the Lord, He will make you and the places around His hills a blessing....And there shall be showers of blessings in Jesus name.

PREPARING FOR SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS

Before your destiny is a discipline you must endure. The scripture says, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Heb 12:11.
 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo

Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.  Leviticus 26:4
Introduction
Colin Powell said, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” The Bible passage for today guaranteed us of rain but in due season. That is why the Lord is leading our thought on the topic, ‘Preparing for Showers of Blessings’.
Observations
In preparation for the showers of blessings, we need to pay attention to the following points:
1. Divine Purpose for Showers of Blessings: You can only have the right perspectives about resources if you know why you are blessed. God does not bless without a reason. He has definite programme for whatever He gives to man. There is purpose behind the blessings. We live with purpose and we give with purpose. When we see that our blessings have purpose, then we begin to have a divine perspective on our resources. Gen. 1:26-28; 9:1; Remember the story of the five talents. They were given for profit.
Prepare for showers of blessings by first discover why you need the blessings of God. Hannah said if you give me a boy I will dedicate to you in your house. 1 Sam. 1: 11. The same principle applies to giving. The more you give, the more you receive Give attention to your lifestyle. Give attention to your relationship to God. Give attention to your prayer life and the assignments that the Lord committed to your charge.
2. Disciplining for The Showers of Blessings: Whatever you pass through determines the value you place on the result. Before your destiny is a discipline you must endure. The scripture says, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Heb 12:11. Be patient and determine to go through what it takes to get your crown. There is a due season for showers of blessings. An appropriate time decided be God Himself not your situation or friends. Your blessing is not based on the dictate of your enemies. It will come and in no distant time. The Spirit of God through the Prophet says, “This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” Hab. 2:3
3. Dividends of Showers of Blessings: A life prepared for blessings enjoys it and manages resources well when it comes. As you prepare, the Lord will give you rain in due season and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Lev. 26: 4; Ezek 34: 26.
Remain blessed as you expect showers of blessings in Jesus name.

SHOWERS OF BLESSING

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo

Text: - Ezekiel 34: 25-31
“‘I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of savage beasts so that they may live in the wilderness and sleep in the forests in safety. 26 I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing.[a] I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. 27 The trees will yield their fruit and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land. They will know that I am the LORD, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor will wild animals devour them. They will live in safety, and no one will make them afraid”

Introduction
I welcome you all to 2019 in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is making a covenant of peace with His people. And coming with such a covenant is showers of blessing and prosperity. Everyone needs peace; every family, state and the nation Nigeria especially at this crucial time need peace for us to enjoy the blessing of God that had been deposited in our land.
Presently, there is drought in the land and the Church of God is not spared. Just as Amos said in Amos 8:11-13, “11“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine through the land— not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. 12People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the Lord, but they will not find it. 13“In that day “the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because of thirst.” Lots of us are going through difficult time that is peculiar spiritually, materially and socially to drought. However, it is time for divine intervention. There is hope and life will blossom again in Jesus name.
The Promise of Showers of Blessing
The promised showers of blessing follow the covenant of peace made by God with His people. Sins will be pardoned, poverty and hardship that resulted from the activities of beasts and drought will cease. God will grant His people capacity to operate in righteousness and thereby prosper in whatsoever they lay hands upon. This will lead to eternal peace in the heart and hope for eternal rest in heaven. Prophet Hosea by the leading of the Holy Spirit says in Hosea 10:12; "Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap unfailing love. Break up the unplowed ground for yourselves, for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers deliverance on you."
 The Physical Manifestation of Blessing
Whatever blessing that comes from God begins in the spiritual and manifests in the physical. Therefore our spiritual life must be right with God so that we may tap into the blessings in the heavenly places.  The Bible says, “Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.” Zachariah 10: 1; Lev. 26: 4; Hosea 6:3; Ezekiel 34: 26; Isaiah 45: 8
The Prayer for Showers of Blessing
Beloved, there will be showers of blessing because God promised. The showers of blessing are settled in the spiritual places and ready to deliver in the physical. Therefore you need to prepare and pray your way through.
Conclusion
Showers of blessing will be sent by God so that we can enjoy. God is expecting us to enter into covenant of peace with Him. Reconcile to God by confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The Scripture says, “Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:1. Following that is seeking peace with all men. Shun violence and all wicked activities.
Remain blessed in Jesus name
