Faithful Stewardship, a Key to Prosperity

Those serving God for the purpose of obeying Him and complete reliance on God for rewards have unprecedented access to heaven's treasure and earthly gains. They are ready for the showers of blessings
 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo

Introduction
“Prosperity is a mindset. It is your expectation. Expect to expand your wealth, wealth of knowledge, relationships, income, and wisdom.” Anonymous. In other words, prosperity begins from the mind. When there is poverty in the spirit, surely you will have it manifesting in the physical. Therefore it is important to put your mind in order. Jesus said, “31 therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:31-33; Jer. 29: 13; Jam 4:8; Hos 10:12-13.
We are considering Faithfulness in our stewardship as key to building prosperous kingdom people. By the special grace of God anointed Ministers of God will be leading our thoughts beginning from Monday 4th till Sunday 10th of February 2019. I want to implore all members especially leaders and workers to avail themselves. As we are preparing for this wonderful session, let us observe the followings:
1. Beware of Negligence
As leaders and children of God called to serve in the vineyard of God, we must beware of negligence of responsibilities. King James Version Dictionary defines negligence as “Habitual omission of that which ought to be done, or a habit of omitting to do things, either from carelessness or design. Negligence is usually the child of sloth or laziness, and the parent of disorders in business, often of poverty.” God sent Prophet Ezekiel to warn shepherd and tell them the grave consequence of negligence. Ezekiel 34:1-ff
2. Be Diligent in Serving the Lord.
To be diligent, you need to be consistently persistent in carrying out whatever you are to do. Apostle Paul says, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” Romans 12:11 Every faithful steward serves with diligence and honesty.
3. Be ready for accountability and reward.
You will be required to give account of your service to God and your neighbours. Whatever you possess or to possess are not just for you to enjoy but to lad others to Christ Jesus. Your life and every blessing attached will be accounted for.
3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Beloved, the foundation for building prosperous kingdom people is making peace with God and putting your trust in His promises. Whatever you do in God for God must be borne out of faith and trust. Serving God without faith is an abomination.
Those serving God for the purpose of obeying Him and complete reliance on God for rewards have unprecedented access to heaven's treasure and earthly gains. They are ready for the showers of blessings. I encourage you to put all your trust in the Lord, He will make you and the places around His hills a blessing....And there shall be showers of blessings in Jesus name.
