The Benefits of the Cross of Christ

www.abundantgracemi.org

The Psalmist enumerated why a child of God should bless the name of God and praise Him with all that is within him. Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.  Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits —  who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.  Psalm 103: 1 -5
The Bible reveals that all men were sold into the hand of the devil. He consequently turned the blessings of God against the man created to replenish the earth.
The devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Luke 4: 9
However, on the cross of Calvary, Jesus humiliated the devil and his cohorts when he broke the chain of the prisons to set us free. He shouted IT IS FINISHED! On the third day He rose from the grave to declare
, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  Matthew 28: 18 -20
If there is any reason why we need to celebrate, it is the fact that we are under new regime who has all authority, power, command and willingness to save, secure and sustain us through all ages.
There is nothing you can give that is too much. You need to offer Him your best beginning with your life and all within your reach.
As you do so, more no other covenant can hold your destiny to ransom. You are on your way to the top in Jesus name.

Be Steadfast Part 2

Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah had all opportunities to enjoy the delicious food of the king of Babylon, but they chose to deny themselves and identified with the God of the Jews. With their stance in faith, they stood the risk of horrible death in the furnace. However, they were ready to die for the sake of the eternal glory rather than temporal riches and comfort. The Bible says, “By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.  He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.  By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.” Hebrews 11: 24 -27 Beloved, our faith can only be genuine if in the face of afflictions and troubles we remain steadfast. Your situation is never an excuse for indulgences. Do not shrink when the tide is tough, you shall surely rise above the tempest in Jesus name.
The wicked king of Babylon decreed that Daniel and other two Hebrews be thrown into
the furnace. The three declared, “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up" Daniel 3: 17 -18. There are many professing Christians who denied their faith just to avoid political persecution. Their godfathers in politics are dictating how they share what belongs to the people who elected them into offices. Few privileged leaders treat their followers as slaves. The welfare of the people is never in their mind. God Almighty who is the supreme Judge will one day rise to defend the poor, helpless and weak masses just as He did in the days of Daniel.
It is not only those in high echelon that are betraying their faith. What of students in schools today who throw away their moral value just for the sake of admission, promotion, fame and mundane things? Others may bow to the Nebuchardiezzars of our generation, but my beloved, don’t allow yourself to be rubishe along with them. The Lord shall defend you in the heat of our modern day corruption in Jesus name.

Be Steadfast

www.abundantgracemi.org

During the reign of Jehoakim the king of Judah, prominent people were taken captive in the nation. Daniel and other precious young men were carried away by the wicked kings of Egypt and Babylon Empires. The Bible says, “Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring in some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king's palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.” Daniel1:3-4; Isaiah 39:7; 2kings 20:18. All enemies targeting our prominence and our prominent people or children to ruin shall fail in Jesus name...
Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah remained steadfast in their faith, prayer and integrity in the face of afflictions. No matter how terrible your environment might be, God will single you out for favour in Jesus name.

The Offering That Appeals To God

Offering is a crucial element of Christian faith. It is near impossible to express genuine faith without offering one sacrifice or the other. This is not limited to monetary offering but in all ramifications. It is a giving up of something in order to achieve a desired result. Just as someone rightly said, sacrifice is an exchange of value. You sacrifice one to get a thousand, or your best to get a better offer. “Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.…” Genesis 8: 20 -21
Three qualities of an offering that appeals to God:
1. It is complete
2. It is pleasant
3. It is healthy
As you offer to God this special offering, He will open His heavens for your sake. The Lord will rise to your help. Kings will favour you. Doors of breakthrough will open and you shall increase in honour, riches, wealth, peace, fruitfulness and in every good thing you shall be head and not tail in Jesus name.

Impacting Your Generation through Prayer

Prayer is a livewire that connects the believer to his Creator through which he affects his generation leaving an indelible footprint for generations yet unborn. Those that activate their potentials for unprecedented accomplishment through prayer are never satisfied with one time achievement but regularly and fervently saturate their endeavours with prayer.  E. M. Bounds said, “The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day." Acknowledge your helplessness as you pray and you will experience a supernatural intervention. The very act of prayer implies that the person who is praying considers the power to which one is praying to as superior to oneself. By praying a person surrenders to the higher power and pleads for help.
One aspect of religion that many people cherish so much is prayer. Every serious person does pray but not many pray with desired results achieved. This is due to several reasons beginning with ignorance, pharisaical posture, sin, unbelief etc. Some who are familiar with the act of prayer are sometimes tempted to assume the longer your prayer the more effective.  Jesus called attention to those who are in this category saying, “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.” Matthew6:4.
Lack of knowledge kills prayer and endangers the life of the one who is praying. When you fail to understand basic truth about prayer, it will be difficult to pray according to the will of God. As a result, the prayer will be in futility. God says, “Therefore my people will go into exile for lack of understanding; those of high rank will die of hunger and the common people will be parched with thirst.” Isaiah 5: 13. We need to know what the Bible says about our situation in order to pray effectively. There is nothing that is happening to anyone or around us without an answer from the Bible. God has something to say concerning everything that goes on here on earth. In order to make great things happen we must soak ourselves in the pool of prayer. J. Hudson Taylor said, "The prayer power has never been tried to its full capacity. If we want to see mighty wonders of divine power and grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure and disappointment, let us answer God's standing challenge, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not!'" invest your time in prayer and harvest unprecedented result in whatever you lay hands upon.
One other thing that enhances ministry and cause the favour of God to fall on us is to avoid pharisaical posture in prayer. Be ready to own up before God while praying so that God will open His heaven over your life. Prayer goes beyond habit; it is a robust intimacy and interaction between God and man. We talk to God and He in turn talk back. He will not only talk back but act in accordance with His will. Stop acting based on your five senses and learn to move into spiritual communion with God and you will always enjoy your day long. No learning can make up for the failure to pray. “No earnestness, no diligence, no study, no gifts will supply its lack" says Bound. You may get the best theological training, degrees from prestigious varsities, if you do not lack prayer culture, there will be meaningful accomplishment in your ways.

In Time like This...

One thing we need to note is that God’s will does not mean absence of challenges. Troubles are universal language. There is no difference between the troubles experienced by the black from that of the white. Your status does not make you immune from afflictions or pains. Children experience pains and adult do go through pain. An adage says, “There is no royal road to comfort, but life comes out of pain.” God allows them to prove His faithfulness and supremacy over all situations. “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,” Deuteronomy 7: 9

God is always consistent and honest to them that are His. He does not change because of any situation but changes the situations. He says, I am the Lord I change not. Friends may change and can be changed because of limitations. God will always do whatever He promises to do. He will never break His covenant with those who trust in Him. In difficult times He is able to deliver and preserve those that cast their burdens on Him. “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 52: 22

Individual is faced with different challenges - temptations, persecution and afflictions. They are not meant to destroy us but to draw us closer to God and to brethren for genuine relationship. In time like this, you need divine connection. Joseph was divinely connected for revelations concerning his destiny in this world of darkness. When tribulations, persecution and slander came, the Bible says, “The LORD was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master” Genesis 39: 2. Read: Acts 7: 9; Genesis 21: 20; Joshua 6: 27; 1Samuel 3: 19; 18: 14; 2Kings 18: 7.

If you are divinely connected you shall never be disconnected from success. Therefore stay connected with God and your fellow brethren. It is then your struggle will be ‘strangled’ in Jesus name. Amen. The Lord shall increase my greatness, and He shall comfort me on every side. www.abundantgracemi.com

REMEMBER CAIN AND HIS OFFERING

Giving offering to God is as old as man. The offering to be considered here is the ones offered by Cain. There are many interpretations of the action of Cain and God's response to his sacrifice. Some said God rejected Cain's sacrifice because it was from fruit. In other words, farmers cannot offer acceptable offering with their produce. Such prejudgement is a contradiction of the Scripture that commands us to give first fruit to God. Jesus uses both animals and fruit to teach about the kingdom of God. Proverbs 3:9-10 says, "Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:"
Another school of thought believes the sacrifice was bloodless which the reason for rejection was. The implication is that God is bloody. Every sacrifice is an exchange of value; therefore it is not the blood that makes the sacrifice more acceptable. Hebrews 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.
Considering other relevant Bible passage on Cain's offering, it will be discovered that the state of the heart determines God's response rather than substance. “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had witness borne to him that he was righteous, God bearing witness in respect of his gifts: and through it he being dead yet speaketh” ( Hebrew 11:4).
Whatever offering you give without faith is abominable to God. He looks into the heart if you actually honour Him by trusting with all your heart.
An acceptable sacrifice involves the following:
1.     Putting God first in determining what you offer to Him
2.     Giving to God in faith and humility not ostentatiously
3.     The favour of God as supreme over the fatness of offering.
As you offer your sacrifice, remember Cain and his offering. Give your best to God by faith and humility. The Lord shall surely bless you in Jesus name.

IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY

Text:     Gen 18:1, 2. 21:1.
17/05/2013

Everyone that God paid a visit enjoyed unprecedented miracles. The visitation of God brings a harvest of miracles.  The period between the visitation and your miracles call for keeping the faith alive. This is so because of distractions, afflictions, persecution and difficulties that challenge our stand for God’s will.  Keep your faith alive and you shall surely get to your promised land.

In Genesis 18:1 God appeared to Abraham in the heat of the day. He will appear to you today in Jesus name. His appearance revives the soul of Abraham who was probably depressed in the tent door in the heat of the day. There was reunion in the family V6 Perhaps they had just argued on the situation in the family in the heat of the day. Sarah was in the tent alone while Abraham was outside, but God’s visitation pushed the husband back home. Your joy that stands at a distant from you in the heat of the day will rush back to you in Jesus name.

Whatever troubles that scatter your marriage will receive the visitation of God today in Jesus name. Once that happens there will be coming together  -a moment of rejuvenation. This is a period of revived hope and aspiration in your life; stop blaming each other for your misfortune. What the enemies want for you is to put things apart so that they will establish their evil deeds. Such intention shall fail in Jesus name.

Divine visitation breaks yokes. Yokes are limits that dictate the pace of your progress. No matter how old or strong is the demonic yoke in your life; God is able to dismantle them all. They dictate your sense of direction and determine your height. Yokes are preset to cub any move apart from what the yoke can accommodate.
Barriers turn you away from miracle points. The barrier mounted on your way to greatness by your adversaries is broken down in Jesus name. Pray this prayer now. Every Yoke that limits my success in life is broken in Jesus name. It hinders one from getting to where you can received favour and attention.
Abraham’s attention was already diverted to Hagar. Sarah could no more found favour in the sight of Abraham. The day God visited their family; Abraham returned to Sarah and forgot Hagar.

When the Israelites were in bondage in Egypt, they needed God to visit them according to Joseph’s prayer. Gen 50:24, 25. At the appointed time God visited them, liberated them and led them to their promised land. You will get to your promised land. Exodus 3:16, 4:31; 13:19; 32:34; Ruth 1:6; 1sam 2:21; Psalm 17:3; 69:9; Zeph 2:7; 10:3; Luke 1:6:78…
Every veil hiding your glory is torn into two in Jesus name
All filthy garments from hell that is messing up your glory is burnt in Jesus name
May thunder rock the cave where your glory was buried in Jesus name
I declare the ancient gates that shut up your glory opened in Jesus name
I command the demonic agents holding down your glory to release it in Jesus name
I command your glory to come forth and shine in Jesus name
Arise and shine all over the universe in Jesus name.
Lord delivers me from the poison of poverty in Jesus name
Lord delivers me from the poison of poverty in Jesus name
Lord destroys the power of demonic marriage in my life.
Holy Ghost fire destroy the evil desires that are ruining my destiny in Jesus name
Lord delivers me from terminal afflictions in Jesus name
Every root of wasteful spending be consumed in my family in Jesus name
Lord empower me to attain and sustain perfect health in Jesus name
Lord empower me to attain and sustain perfect success in Jesus name
This year, my life shall be carrier of divine blessings in Jesus name.
Lord I enter a covenant of generational blessings with you in Jesus name.
Let the fountain of grace continue to flow in my life in Jesus name.
My joy shall multiply by the end of 2013 in Jesus name.
Every door of success in my business is opened in Jesus name.
Lord relocates my treasures from the camp of my enemies to my camp in Jesus name

You Are Moving Forward II

You Are Moving Forward
Know Yourself Psl 139: 14
Moving forward calls for knowledge of personal identity. "Man, know thyself" was the challenge of ancient Greek philosophers and it has been the goal of mankind since. But knowing yourself is more than philosophical ideas. You need God to reveal to you your identity. This will shapes your perceptions and relationships.
The Bible tells us that man was created in the image of God. He breathed into the man's nostril to keep him alive. That means God deposited Himself in the man He created making him an extension of Himself. the man lost this privilege so soon when he believed the lie of the serpent in disregard of God's instruction. the desire of man since then had been to be like imaginary being that was never existed. That is chasing the shadow. When you desire to be anything outside God, you will end up becoming less than who you originally are.
Knowing who you truly are will begin a new experience especially in God. The Psalmist says, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Only as you do know yourself can your brain serve you. When you look at yourself in a mirror, who do you see? If you cannot say who you are, God is saying to you today, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1Pet. 2: 9; Deut. 7: 6; Isa. 41: 8, 91Chro. 16: 13; Psl. 33: 12.
to be continued...

You Are Moving Forward I

Moving forward is God’s pattern for creation. As long as we expect better things in life, moving forward is a necessity. Your life shall move forward, your business shall move forward, your education shall move forward in Jesus name.
At creation, life was held down by the power of darkness but God was not comfortable with such situation. There was obscure darkness upon the earth. The earth was void and chaotic. In order words, the world was without progress, instead there was confusion. However God declared; let there be light and there was light.  Are you in distress and confusion just because things are stagnant? Today the Lord asks me to tell you, move forward in Jesus name.

Your best is yet to come.   Phil. 12 -14
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Difficulties may abound here and there; they are not to dictate your position in life. Your enemies are not to dictate how you should live your life. You need to move forward to the next level. Do not think you have arrived. Your best is yet to come. Isa. 43: 1 – 4; Exo. 14: 15,16; Joh. 5: 8; Psl. 32: 8.

Forget the Past.
If you will move forward, you must get out of the past; your past failure or success, the disappointment from friends. The Bible says in Isaiah 43:18-19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Knowing full well that you do not have control over many things, laying them at His feet helps. When you are down just repeat this a few times: “Let Go and Let God”  knowing that you are powerless over some  things you can't change or mistakes you made, but with full faith in God, it will be taken care of. Praise God

Morning Dew Prophetic Ministration

·         The power that makes me see good without achieving it die in Jesus name
·         The power of acidic limitation in my life loses your power on me in Jesus name.
·         Problematic garment on my neck burn off in Jesus name
Dew refers to the tiny drops of water which form on cool surfaces at times of low temperature (especially at night), when atmospheric vapour condenses. Deu 32:2 “My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:”
In the King James Version the word - dew - appears 37 times.
1.      It is associated with blessings, breakthrough, Pro 3:20; safety, favour and greatness. It is the gift of God for plenty. Gen 27:28 “Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:” Gen 27:39, Deu 33:13; Psa 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
I declare your year’s period of plenty in Jesus name.
1.      Dew is connected to provision. Exo 16:13 “And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.” Exo 16:14; Num 11:9 ; Zec 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
As the Lord lives, begin to possess your possessions in Jesus name
2.      Safety is paramount to prosperity. Dew appears as security for people of God. Deu 33:28 “Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.” Isa 18:4; Isa 26:19; Hos 14:5; Mic 5:7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men
Bear in mind that, in a desert-dwelling society, any form of water is precious

DIVINE FAVOUR FOR FAME

It takes only one man to change every generation. Noah was the only one who found grace in the sight of God during his generation. When God decided to destroy the entire world, he was handpicked with his family for salvation. Through him the world of today was preserved. Genesis 6: 7,8
"So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.  But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord."
where others found it difficult to progress, you shall excel there in Jesus name.
Abraham became the only one in his generation to father laughter through whom the whole world were to be blessed. Moses, Joseph, David, Elijah, Jesus, Paul etc.
You shall be the number one of your family to lift their glory in Jesus name
That Goliath that terrifies your family needs just one man one stone to fall headlong, the Lord has raised you to be in Jesus name
The Lord shall make you the fame of your generation in Jesus name
Your family need you, the financial stone needed for them to bury their Goliath shall come from your purse in Jesus name.
The solution needed to lift your company shall come from you in Jesus name.
Not until David showed up, all Israelite including king were terrified. Through you the regular premature death of your faily shall cease in Jesus name.

OBEDIENCE: A Gift or a Will?

It is written in the Scripture "If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the best from the land; "

If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the best from the land;
"See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse —
the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord
your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you
disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from
the way that I command you today by following other gods,
which you have not known." Isaiah 1: 19; Deuteronomy 11: 27.

YOUTH SEEING VISION

A vision helps you form an aspiration of what or who you want to be. It also helps plan for what to accomplish within a short or long term. It is intended to serve as a clear guide for choosing current and future courses of action.  Take note of these three basic facts about vision:-
Vision motivates us.
Vision gives us direction,
Vision is not aimless effort.

How to See Vision
Pray: - Since vision is a revelation of the unknown, expectation of long or short term, there is a need for divine intervention to unfold it. Therefore, prayer will help you attune to the Lord’s presence where you can receive inspiration for brighter future. Rev. 1: 9 -10; Acts 2: 1 -2, 13: 1 -3; II Cor. 12:1 -4
Purity: - The youth must be in the right mind to get a vision. This is what Paul called sound mind. IITim.1: 7. The Psalmist says, “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart; who hath not lifted his soul unto vanity, sworn deceitfully; He shall receive the blessing from the LORD…” Psl. 24: 3 -5; 3: Zech. 2: 1-5
Prophecy: - is another thing that helps to formulate a coherent “vision” for certain things in life. Acts 13: 1 -3; Romans 8:14 ...those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Persistence: - One important aspect of life is persistence. There are lots to contend with in this world. These could be spiritual, social and economic challenges. However, you will need persistence in order to get the mind of God. Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.  Your personal “vision” may tarry. But if it is real, don’t get discouraged; it will “surely come”.
In addition to the foregoing, you need to study wide. Learning will broaden the scope of your knowledge. Don’t limit yourself to what you think you already know. Pro.3: 5, 6. He who is tired of learning is tired of living.
In order to live a purposeful and fulfilled life, you need a vision. A reliable vision for life and ministry can only come from God to a prepared mind. As you go and act on this little message, the Lord will order your steps to greater height in Jesus name.

Abide in Christ

Abiding in Christ begins with knowledge of Him based on the Bible. "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you." John 15: 7. Search the Scripture, keep the word and apply the word. As you do that, whatever you ask for through Christ's name shall be granted to you. Remain blessed in Jesus name.

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURE

One sure way of knowing the mind of God is through the Bible. The constraint of many is inability to personally study the Bible. This is one major reason why a lot of people fall into the hand of false pastors and prophets today. They are fed with several doctrines mingled with traditional rules and regulations. Some of these practices cannot be authenticated in the Bible. A sister was asked to fast for three days, praying and drinking water with the church bell so that her voice could be heard in the public since no one can suppress the sound of a bell. This is nothing but ritual. Is this what the Bible teaches? To rise above this philosophy of man, one needs to be a student of the Bible. You shall know the truth says Jesus Christ, and you shall be set free. John 8: 32.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The Lord is our Refuge: He is a Shelter: is a place or state of safety. The Bible says in Nahum 1: 7, “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,” Also, Psl 46: 1; when almost everyone deserted you, There might have been times when people did or said things about you, that have been very hurtful, listen to what the Lord said in Matthew 5:44 to 45 (NIV) From the very lips of Jesus Himself, But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you. That ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven”. Its very easy at times to let the Devil steal your joy. There are times, when we do feel down, because of the circumstances that we go through, remember that the Lord is your Refuge. Psl. 55: 12; Isa 46: 4. Psalm 18:1 to 3 (NIV) “I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies”. The Hebrews put their trust in God. They declared Him to be their refuge and strength. What was the strength of their adversary, the Assyrian army? It was their training, their equipment, their leaders. Since you know the outcome of this particular confrontation, you can easily see whose refuge and strength was dependable. Challenges may come and storm may rage God demands faith in His word for your life. He calls you to persistence in trusting Him, His abiding presence will not depart from you in Jesus name.

TIME FOR GLORY RECOVERY

Your glory is your divine prestige upon which your destiny is built. There is no one without a glory to show forth on earth here. Something others will see and glorify God for. Whatever may be your physical predicament, you still have a glory to shake the world. Think of people like Abraham in the Bible who battled with barrenness for several years, Mephiboshet the crippled who dined with king,  Fanny Crosby, Prophet Obadare and host of others with such physical challenges yet shook the world for the glory of God. Your glory shall blossom whatever may be the situation in your life in Jesus name.
1 Corinthians 15:40-41: "There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.”

The Sure Refuge

The more man discovers new gadgets for security, the stronger and sometimes wiser  the enemies. Many nations spent whooping amount of their revenues on security and defense yet, they are more prone to internal and external attacks. In those days we heard of double barrel guns as superior fire power but few years later we began to know of various weapons like atomic bomb, nuclear bomb, missile rockets, artillery,  chemical weapons, bomber planes,  now its drone etc. However, terrorism shoot up and spread like wild fire making a mess of military strategies.
All these futile efforts are unnecessary if we can make God our Refuge. He is the Rock of Ages, Shield and Defender, Captain of our armies and the Buckler. He is mightier than the mightiest and excellent more than the most excellent. He is able to keep them in perfect peace the heart of those who trust in Him. Allow Him to run your life and no one will be able to ruin it.  Psalm 91: 1-3 says,

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge
and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

This is the sure Refuge for whoever wants to live and enjoy the peace of God. Nations must go back to God for refuge just as individual should go back to Him.

The Sure Way of Salvation

God in His infinite mercy provides the way of redemption and restoration of man to Himself. He sent Jesus Chris in the image of man to bear the brunt of sin. “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” Isaiah 53: 4, 5. On the cross of Calvary, Jesus bore all these burdens and died. Close to where He was crucified, there was a garden with a tomb in it that had never been used. There He was buried with sin and its problems. “At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid.” John 19: 41. He rendered sin, Satan and death powerless and on the third day He rose from death so that we can live a victorious life.

The Wonders Of Christ's Crucifixion and Resurrection

The first man called Adam was sent out of the garden of Eden when he failed God. He on behalf of mankind sinned and was liable to death. The man was to shed his blood for his sin; however God in His inexhaustible love and sustaining grace sacrificed animals and showed man the pattern of sacrifice that remedies sin penalty.
The sacrifice kept increasing and was beyond the ability of man. God finally provided a permanent remedy through the death of His only begotten Son on the cross. The Bible says,
:" Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed. " Isaiah 53: 4,5
