God in His infinite mercy provides the way of redemption and
restoration of man to Himself. He sent Jesus Chris in the image of man to bear
the brunt of sin. “Surely he took up our
infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted. But he
was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the
punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed”
Isaiah 53: 4, 5. On the cross of Calvary, Jesus bore all these burdens and
died. Close to where He was crucified, there was a garden with a tomb in it
that had never been used. There He was buried with sin and its problems. “At the place where Jesus was crucified,
there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been
laid.” John 19: 41. He rendered sin, Satan and death powerless and on the
third day He rose from death so that we can live a victorious life.
