THE WORSHIP OF THE KING AT CHRISTMAS

 Reverend Gabriel S. Adeyemo

Text: - Matthew 2:1-2, 11                                                                        21/12/2018
“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”  On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.”
Introduction
The keyword in this message is ‘worship’; there is a great importance attached to worship in the Bible. It is mentioned 8629 times in the Bible. Worship is very vital because it is our response to an awareness of the closeness and supremacy of God Exodus 34:8; Judges 7:15. As someone says, “True worship is a valuing or a treasuring of God above all things.”
True Worship
When your worship is wrongly conceived, its outward expression is nothing but vanity. Worship begins from within a man and it is expressed outwardly.  Jesus rebuked the Pharisees who show off their religious piety with a reprobate mind saying, “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Matthew 23:25.
In other words, their worship outward expression no matter how great it seems is vain because their inward worship was impure.
The Worship of the King by the Wise men
The Magi from the east demonstrated true worship in three dimensions
1. They recognized the authority of the King as recorded in the scripture
2. They ascribed dignity to the King that was born
3. They demonstrated their conviction by worshiping the King with substances
The Worship of the King at Christmas
If there is anything we should seek for and pursue at Christmas, it is the right attitude to worship. The Magi possessed the right and genuine attitude to worship as they set out to seek the King that was born as revealed by the star they saw from the East.
Have you discovered the reason for the season? There cannot be true joy at Christmas if you have not seen the King who is the reason for the season. When you seek Him, you will find Him and definitely you will honour and worship Him with your life and substance.
Conclusion
The wise men gave gold to acknowledge Jesus’ kingship and supremacy over their lives and the whole creation. They gave frankincense to symbolize the priesthood of Christ. That means they recognized Him as one and only person that can connect them to God. Lastly they gave Him myrrh which is a gift for the dead. They acknowledged that Jesus had come to die for the sins of the world. Seek Jesus the King at Christmas, Worship Him and give Him your best and it shall be well with you in Jesus name

THE UNLIMITED PROMISE KEEPER

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo

Every tough time is for a hero to be raised. When a terrible king is ruling, a credible deliverer is in the making that will overshadow him. Whatever happens to you happens for you. You will come out in glory and greatness.  Keep moving forward and don’t stop, you are so close to success.  In the Bible, great men and women are products of tough time. Noah showed up when God decided to destroy the entire men with flood Genesis 6: 7, 8. It is not because he was without weakness. Noah has blood and flesh like every other person. As it was in the days of Noah, so we still have it today. You might be down right now, but don’t stay down forever. Joseph, Moses, David, Elijah, the Apostles became heroes in when there was tough and terrible times challenging their God and they were not discouraged. Though you might be knocked down but you will not be knocked out and you will rise above your situation in Jesus name.

In the Gospel according to Luke 1: 21-25, the Bible says, “Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the temple. When he came out, he could not speak to them. They realized he had seen a vision in the temple, for he kept making signs to them but remained unable to speak. When his time of service was completed, he returned home. After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion.  “The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people.” Zachariah was to intercede on behalf of the people. He was carrying their burden while he was confronted with barrenness. He was not discouraged by what he was going through. His primary concern was the kingdom of God and His righteousness. The people were waiting outside the Temple for their needs to be met. However, the man of God was having his situation being dealt with. Brothers and sisters in the Lord, people are looking up to you. Your testimony will give birth to their breakthrough in Jesus name.

You are not alone in this experience. The word of God says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” Romans 8: 22 God will single you out for liberation. It is not over until it is over. As long as you are alive, hope is not lost. You will surely deliver the good intentions in your heart. How do I know this? The answer is simple; our God is the Unlimited Promise Keeper. He has never failed, and can never fail.  The Lord promised that Elizabeth will conceive and give birth to a son. It came to pass. The promises of God concerning your life will surely come to pass in Jesus name. The word of God says, “By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire” 2 Peter 1: 4 Observe to take necessary steps for you to enjoy the unlimited promises of God for your life.
Be ready to be where God wants you to be
Do what God wants you to do
Believe what God wants you to believe and your life will never remain the same in Jesus name.

Lord, Visit Our Foundation

 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo
When the foundation of a building is faulty, everything builds on it is a potential ruin and detriment to precious life. Beloved in the Lord, if you are experiencing cracks in the wall, do not cover up but check the foundation to see if there is a defect. Life is too precious to be left unattended to while the cracks keep manifesting. You need the specialist in handling it and effect necessary repairs. The Lord is the Architect of all life; He alone has the power to redeem your foundation from collapse. "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." says the Psalmist. 127:1
Religiosity, human intelligence and philosophy may fail you; let God visit your foundation. The Bible says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3. Hope is not lost, turn to God the Author and finisher of our faith, He is able to mend and rebuild the fractured foundation. And you will never remain the same. God bless you in Jesus name.

JOYFUL THANKS

...you are in the plan of God. The Lord kept you so that He may fulfill these plans in your life. Celebrate in in His presence and give Him joyful thanks...

Text: -Colosians 1: 12-14 “...and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

INTRODUCTION
 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
Have you ever stopped and count what the Lord has done for you in the year to see the reasons why you need to give thanks to God? Sometimes, we pay more attention on what do not have or could not do allowing it to dictate our moods. These is a great mistake because it is hurting to do that. If we consider what God has done, we will discover that we have more than what we lack.

Reasons for Joyful Thanks
From the passage above, Apostle Paul gives three reasons among many for giving joyful thanks.
First, we are rescued from dominion  of darkness. The darkness began it's fight for dominion over the earth during creation. The Bible says, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Gen. 1:2. Darkness is habitation of chaos, confusion and damnation. Wherever darkness rules, peace will elude it. Death abounds where darkness exercises Dominion. To God be the glory for sending Jesus Christ the Light of the world. He is the Light and darkness cannot comprehend Him. John 1:5 says, "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Anyone born of God is delivered from the dominion of darkness. Rescued from confusion, damnation and hopelessness.
Second, we are translated to kingdom of Light: Life in the light is glorious. Coming with light is life and peace. Darkness is associated with fruitlessness but light brings progress and fruitfulness. Thank God for the light of God's word and life eternal. It is the light that shines on you for protection in the world of darkness.
Third, we are redeemed and pardoned:- This is the sum-total of the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He opened the doors of eternal inheritance for us. God promised to give us the hidden treasures of the darkness. The word of God says, "And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel." Isaiah 45:3.

Conclusion
Melody Beattie says, “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”  Brothers and Sisters, you are in the plan of God. The Lord kept you so that He may fulfill these plans in your life. Celebrate in in His presence and give Him joyful thanks.

Progress

 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo
For every progress, there is a process. Your present experience is a process that will lead to unprecedented progress.
Make God your focus and never accept defeat.
Stand up, keep it up looking up to Jesus crucified, burried and ressurrected.
You will make it in Jesus name.

PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

Bible Study Outline

Praying in the spirit is very vital to Christian survival in this world of struggle, battle and rigours.

Spiritual Life of a Christian II

Date: -16/10/2018
Topic: - Praying in the Spirit 1
Teacher: - Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo

Introduction to Prayer
Praying in the Spirit is mentioned three times in the entire Bible. 1 Corinthians 14:15, Ephesians 6:18, and Jude 20. Praying in the spirit is very vital to Christian survival in this world of struggle, battle and rigours. This is because we are born into a battle field. “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, which is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.” Rev 12: 9-12; Job 5: 7

What is Praying in the Spirit?
The Greek words translated “pray in” could mean “by means of,” “with the help of,” “in the sphere of,” and “in connection to.” Praying in the Spirit refers to how we are praying.

  • That is praying according to the Spirit’s leading.
  • It is praying for things the Spirit leads us to pray for. Romans 8:26
  • Praying in the spirit is directly opposite to praying in the flesh.
  • Praying in the Spirit is prayer powered by the Holy Spirit
  • It is prayer carried to the Father in the name of Jesus.
  • It is prayer that has living quality characterized by warmth and sense of exchange.

Conclusion
Praying in the spirit is not copying someone or some people. You cannot get desired result in prayer if you are only praying the in the way someone else prays. That will be praying in the flesh. It is not a tradition, denominational or pattern. It is a communion between God and a child of God who keeps his close relationship with God.

CELEBRATING GOD'S HERITAGE: THE FUTURE HEROES

Children are leaders in view. Therefore, parents need to celebrate them and encourage them.

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127

Children are gifts from the Lord. Parents need to celebrate them not just to send them on errands and beat them whenever they refuse. They are gifts to be appreciated, cherished, nurtured and celebrated. There are many people who are biological alright, spiritually fervent, morally trusted but are not privileged to have babies. It is my prayer that the Lord will favour those families this year in Jesus name.
Children are leaders in view. Therefore, parents need to celebrate them and encourage them. When you celebrate leaders, they perform better. Leaders who are commended are charged to do more. If you always see the bad side and the weak points of your children, they will not be bold to defend you when oppositions arise in the future. The Psalmist says, “As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” Vs4-5
As we celebrate our children this month, we must teach them to honour God and their parents so that the purpose of God for their life may come to fruition. The Word of God says, "Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that your days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you." Deuteronomy 5: 16
Celebrate children by giving them quality environment to thrive.
Celebrate the children by helping them discover the greatness in them and you as parents will be celebrated in the future by children you celebrate now.

BIBLICAL FASTING 2

Bible Study Outline
Spiritual Life of a Christian           Series I                                                                 02/10/2018

A true and vital relationship with God starts from within and does not come through external religion and ritual.

 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo
Review
In the part 1 of this topic, ‘Christian Fasting’ we examined the definitions of fasting as: Fasting as spiritual discipline is self-denial of things you cherish, do regularly or enjoy for specified period.
Also, we talked about Types of fasting, Reasons for fasting and what fasting is not.
By the grace of God we will examine the requirements for biblical fasting today and how to go about your fasting.

Requirements for Fasting Isaiah 58

Isaiah’s call was reaffirmed and re commissioned to reprove sin and hypocrisy among the people of God. Sin of hypocrisy is a rebellion against the will of God. “…Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.” Isa. 58:1. The people wanted to earn God’s blessings through religious activities. God desires spirituality more than activities.
Going through the motions of religion, even those of sacrifice and fasting, does not move God. A true and vital relationship with God starts from within and does not come through external religion and rituals. Israel’s lack of social justice became worrisome as they were boasting of their religious programmes like fasting, keeping the Sabbath etc.  Isa. 58: 2-3; Luk. 6: 46; Mk 7: 6; Matt. 6: 1; Titus 1: 16; Matt. 23: 27, 28; Luk. 20: 46, 47

 Observe
6“No, this is the kind of fasting I want: Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people. 7 Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.
“Spirituality is shown by the loving quality of our personal relationships (Isa. 58:4) and by our commitment to social justice and to helping the poor and oppressed (Isa. 58:6–7), not by fasting” says, Lawrence O. Richards
Have the right motives while fasting. Just as we learnt in our previous study, biblical fasting is to humble yourself before God. It is a way of glorifying our Lord not for personal pride.  During fasting, focus your attention on Jesus Christ. According to our passage in Isaiah 58, fasting requires:
1. Justice: Deut. 24:14-15; Prov. 14:31; Amos 2:6-7; Luke 1:52-53; the will of God is that no one should be heavy laden by fellow brother. No matter how spiritual you claim to be, if you deprive others of right to justice, you are a deceiver.
2. Love : Mark 12:31
3. Giving: So give with a glad and generous heart because the very act of letting go of money does something within us. It destroys the demon greed and allows generosity to grow. 2 Cor. 9: 7; Pro. 18: 16; 1 Chro. 29: 14; Pro. 11: 25; Luk 6: 38
4. Hospitality: Romans 12:13; 1 Peter 4:9; 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:8
How to Fast
1. Pray before the fast
2. Meditate on the word of God
3. Determine the length of the fast
4. Drink much water before start
5. Pray for specifics and remember to intercede for others
6. When breaking your fast, avoid rushing solid foods. Instead be gradual by taking warm water, a fruit like water melon, orange, and other soft fruits
7. Close the day with praises and worship trusting God for speedy response.
Conclusion
In Conclusion, remember fasting is not an end on itself. Fasting is very essential in our walk with God. It calls for self denial, close relationship with the Lord and a humble way to seek the will of God and showing love for others. As we do that with sincere heart, your heaven will be opened and doors will be opened for surpassing grace for all sufficiency in Jesus name.

HEALTHY HOME, HEALTHY CHURCH 1 Corinthians 16:19

LECTURE DELIVERED AT THE IRETI-OGO BAPTIST ASSOCIATION MEN AND WOMEN MISSIONARY UNIONS’ RETREAT HELD AT UNION BAPTIST CHURCH, AGEGE LAGOS;                                                          ON THE 1ST OF OCTOBER 2018
Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo

"The road to successful and a happy home is always under construction, only homes built in the Lord can build a healthy Church."

A. Definition of terms
Healthy: Merriam Webster -healthy, sound, wholesome, robust, hale, well mean enjoying or indicative of good health. Healthy implies full strength and vigor as well as freedom from signs of disease. A healthy family sound emphasizes the absence of disease, weakness, or malfunction. Healthy is the state of being in good condition physically, mentally and spiritually.
Home/Marriage: - the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household. The home comprises of a father, mother and children. It is an extension of God’s Kingdom on earth.
Church: - The word "Church" in general term means, ‘gathering or assembly, a family object, or a political, or a social, or a religious object. However, in the New Testament, the Church is the body of believers in Christ.  Those who gather together in worship of God based on the testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ –the Author and Finisher of our faith. Jesus said, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.” Hebrews 10: 24, 25; Col. 3: 16; Eph. 4: 11-34; Acts 2: 42;
B. God’s Original Purpose: -The home was created as an extension of God’s Kingdom on earth. So, the first family in the Garden of Eden formed the first Church. That original purpose has not changed till today. Though the first family in the church rebelled against the will of God thereby bruised the relationship between God and man yet; God used the home for His redemptive plan. If the Church today will be healthy, the home as the first constituency of the Church must be healthy. Healthy Homes Build Healthy Church.
C. A Healthy Home Forms a Healthy Church: -Doug Patch says, “Home ministry is the God-given role we have as husbands or wives to love our spouses as God loves us. If we are parents, it includes our role to love and raise our children according to His truth.” The road to successful and a happy home is always under construction, only homes built in the Lord can build a healthy Church.
D. Marks of a Healthy Home 1 Corinthians 16: 19
1. It is a home built upon the Rock Matthew 7:24-27, 21:42; Mark 12:10; 1Peter 2: 7; Isaiah 8: 14; 1 Corinthians 10: 4
2. It is a home where the word of God has final authority Deuteronomy 6: 6-7; Genesis 18: 16-19
3. It is a forgiving family 1 Peter 3: 7-9
4. A home of hospitality 4: 6-10; Romans 12: 13; 1 Peter 4: 9; 1 Timothy 3: 2;  Titus 1: 8; Hebrews 13: 2
5. A potential church
a. Place of prayer
b. Bible study center
c. Mission and evangelism arena
d. Open for fellowship

E. Home versus Church: - whatever affects the homes affects the church. Economy, moral decadence, religious inconsistency, broken homes,
Challenges of Some Patriarchal Ideologies
Man is the breadwinner in the home.
The father is the disciplinarian in the family.
Husband is the head of the house
The husband has the final say
The wife is the homemaker in marriage
Children are the heritage of their father
The wife must dress to please her husband
The wife must always cooperate with husband on sex

Sometimes, we think outward behaviours and modifications will result in healthy and happy marriage. These may not bring the desired bliss into the home outside God. The Bible says, "Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Psalms 127:1(KJV) The word bayith (house) in Hebrew is not infrastructure but family, home, marriage.
Mention some of the outward behaviours spouses demand for in marriage
F. Prescriptions for Building a Healthy Marriage
Love the Lord with all your life
Lift up your spouse to God in prayer daily
Look beyond the imperfections in your spouse.
Learn to prepare delicious food for the family
Husband must learn how to commend and encourage his wife
Support her vision. Don't tear down every suggestion of your wife
 Avoid too know syndrome
Prepare for and manage your disagreement very well 1Peter 3:1-6
Satisfy one another with sex 1Corinthians 7:5

BIBLICAL FASTING

Bible Study Outline
Spiritual Life of a Christian     Series I

Fasting as spiritual discipline is self-denial of things you cherish, do regularly or enjoy for specified period

 REV'D G. S. Adeyemo
Overview
The Lord is leading us through a vital Bible Study Series that will by the surpassing grace of God revitalize our spiritual life. It is only those who are spiritually sound that can enjoy God, see clear vision and understand. They that are spiritually healthy will study the Bible with understanding,  seek the face of God with prayer and fasting. They are those who can affect society for the glory of God. Matthew. 5:6; Psl 42:1; Jer. 29:13; 2Chro. 15:2; Matth. 17:21
In today's series, our attention will be on Fasting. What is fasting? What are the types of fasting? Who can fast and how can we fast? What are the rewards of fasting? These and many more questions about fasting will be addressed in the course of study.

I. What is fasting?
According to Wikipedia, "Fasting is the willing abstinence or reduction from some or all food, drink, or both, for a period of time."
In your own understanding, define fasting.
Fasting as spiritual discipline is self-denial of things you cherish, do regularly or enjoy for specified period. Luke 2 tells the story of an 84-year-old prophetess named Anna. Verse 37 says, “She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.” That was her way of showing her love for God. It is an evidence of spiritual intimacy with God.

II. Types of Fasting Deut. 9:9,18; Ezr. 10:6; Esth. 4:16; Exo. 34:28; Matth. 4:1,2; Luk. 4:1,2; Act. 9:9; Deut. 10:2-3; Dan. 1:12; 1Cor. 7:3-6
Dry fasting
Water fasting
Partial fasting
Supernatural fasting 1Kings 19:8
Mention other types of fasting that you know

III. Reasons for fasting
"Fasting is a biblical way to truly humble yourself in the sight of God. It enables the Holy Spirit to reveal your true spiritual condition, resulting in brokenness, repentance, and a transformed life."
Other reasons for fasting include:
Deeper knowledge of God
More workers in God's Vineyard
Divine intervention
IV. What Fasting is Not (Read Isaiah 58)
It is not alternative to prayer
Not meant to threaten God
Not for revenge on perceived foes
Not hunger strike

Practical Life of Fasting
Your fasting must be purpose-driven and Holy Spirit-led.
Do not compete with others on fasting. Congregational or public fastings in the Bible are focused on common goal.
You can not impress God with fasting if your life negates the righteousness of God. In the next study, we will be considering requirements for effective fasting.
Remain blessed in Jesus name.

DIVINE VISITATION FOR TURNING POINT

Divine visitation leads to a turning point in life. That Is what every man on this planet earth needs in order to enjoy fulfilled life.

 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo

Divine visitation leads to a turning point in life. That Is what every man on this planet earth needs in order to enjoy fulfilled life. It is my strong belief that you will experience divine visitation as we share the living Word of God today.
Prepare and expect God's visitation and your life will never remain the same in Jesus name. The Lord is taking us through the revelations of His word as we read from Exodus 3: 16, 17.
"Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt: And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey."
The Israelites came to Egypt full of Hope and joy when Joseph their son was Prime Minister. They were settled in a choiced place and were accorded great respect. However, the story later changed when the king that knew not Joseph came to the throne. For four hundred years they were affected, oppressed, depressed, humiliated and hope of fulfilling God's promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob their fathers was to them a mirage. No one to plead their course, no Prophet to comfort and encourage them. In such a situation, nothing but the Divine visitation can turn the tide.
In that hurting and terrible circumstances, God raised a deliverer who was born by Hebrew woman, raised by Egyptian royal family. Moses was privileged to acquire all the knowledge and wisdom of Egypt. God's grace and Spirit was upon him to liberate the people of God. Acts 7:22: "22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds." The Lord appeared to him and sent him to tell the people of God a message of Divine visitation that will mark a turning point in their lives. "The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:"
The Lord will visit you my dearly beloved and pains will turn to gain, shame will turn to fame and poverty will turn to prosperity in Jesus name.
Divine visitation breaks protocols of men and reverse the irresponsible. Our God is not limited by human rules, tradition or laws. The law of nature bows before him because he is supreme over them all. Every decree promulgated by Pharaoh could not hold water when God visited the Israelites in Egypt. On the visit of God, Pharaoh's army we're helplessly useless. Your enemies will be powerless today in Jesus name.
It is not all about your age, qualifications, connection or position, the power of God transcend every human ability. He will make a way where there is no way. Isa 43:19 says, "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." He is God Omnipotent turning imposibility to possibility.
Considering Exodus 3: 16,17, three things are very obvious
1. God is present right on the spot where you are
2. God cares about what His people are going through
3. He will turn around the unpleasant situation
Therefore, you must be ready to key into Divine agenda. Focus on what He can do instead of what you are going through and the capability of the wicked King. No one has absolute control over your life apart from God. Do not give in to the enemies, you are more than conqueror. By the reason of God's presence, His surpassing and power your situation is turning around for greater glory in Jesus name.

Deliverance from Spirit of Promise and Fail

 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo
Read Exodus 11: 1-3; Exodus 14:14, Jeremiah 15:21.

A New Beginning

"The unchangeable Changer who owns your future will turn your pains to gain in Jesus name. It is not a matter of ability or background, our God is the great Potter, He will break everything needed to be broken and mold all that need to be molded for you to appear in greater glory"

Isaiah 43: 18&19

Introduction
Change they say is constant. The expectation of every man is to have a better chance. We want our today to be better than yesterday and tomorrow to be better than today. I declare unto you by the power in the name of Jesus Christ, that your expectations shall be fulfilled in Jesus name. Behold a better future in place of battered past. The unchangeable Changer who owns your future will turn your pains to gain in Jesus name. It is not a matter of ability or background, our God is the great Potter, He will break everything needed to be broken and mold all that need to be molded for you to appear in greater glory in Jesus name. The question is how can you have a new beginning in a world of uncertainties?
Facing the World of Uncertainties
Human beings are influenced mostly by what they see and hear. Whatever you devote your ear to hear has great impact on your mind as well as what you see. The eyes and our ears are gateway to our mind. If you always feed your mind with news of terrorism, disasters, unemployment, criticism, condemnation, threat, evil reports and doubts, the results you will get is no better than what occupy your mind. Isaiah 43: 18; Phil. 3: 11-13.
You may not be able to predict what happens in the next moment, however you can still be sure of better tomorrow. What you need is to concentrate on the certainty of God's Promises, the potency of Prayer and the efficacy of the Holy Spirit Power
The Keys to New Beginning in the World of Uncertainties
1. Trust in the Promises of God. The word of God is infallible. His promises cannot fail. The Bible says, "And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires." 2Pet. 1:4; Psl 105:42; 2Cor 1:20
2. Be Persistent in Prayer. Prayer deepens relationship with God when offered from pure heart and humility. It is a means of keeping God abreast of what you are going through and your expectations from Him. Though He is aware of your needs and willing to meet them according to His reaches in glory, God expects us to speak up. Isaiah 1:18; Matt. 7:7; John 16: 24-26; Luk. 18: 1-8.
3. Depend on the Holy Spirit Power. Human effort is limited while God's power through the Holy Spirit is absolute and unlimited. He is able to do all things.  He held the world together at the creation before God said, "Let there be light".
The Holy Spirit is believer's limitless resources through whom we draw all sufficiency. The Scripture says,  “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” “Out of his belly” refers to your innermost being. The Holy Spirit is your limitless resource, an everlasting fountain. All you will ever need will be completely fulfilled and satisfied by the Holy Spirit—every longing and every desire in your life. According to John 14:15-18, the Holy Spirit is our Parakletos—our Counselor, Comforter, and Helper! And He is with us forever. Without the Holy Spirit we would be as orphans with no one to care for us. But with Him, we have full provision!
Invitation
I am inviting you to a new beginning through the power of the Holy Spirit as promised by God. You do that through prayer and keep praying in the spirit. Your life and all that concerns you will experience new beginning in Jesus name. Offer your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creature. 2 Cor. 5:17. New beginning begins inside you. May you be blessed as you do so in Jesus name

The Appointed Time for Favour

When God promised, there is nothing that can change it. No matter how long it takes to be fulfilled, He will do it

There is always appointed time for everything. God is a God of orderliness who will not do things that will bring doubt and confusion about His righteousness. He is too holy to commit blunders. The Bible  says in Num 23:19 "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" No condition or power can make Him ineffective. Economy of the nation can't intimidate God if He decides to make you the richest man in the country within 24hours.
I declare to you today, your situation shall turnaround within 24hours in Jesus name. He turned around the situation in Samaria and leppers, who have no fingers became so prosperous that they invited able men to join in their spoils. In the Bible, there was terrible famine in Samaria, and the servant of God declared that by this time tomorrow there would be prosperity. It came to pass. 2Kgs 7:18 "It happened as the man of God had said to the king: “About this time tomorrow, a seah of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.” By the authority vested in me by the Holy Spirit, i declare that you will rise again. You will be great again. Things will turn in your favour. Those scorners in your household will bow in shame because their expectations over your life will turn around in your favour in Jesus name. The Lord has set a table before you, in the presence of your enemies. Don't be worried of the enemies presence at the table, they are already incapacitated. No more teeth to bite.
When God promised, there is nothing that can change it. No matter how long it takes to be fulfilled, He will do it. The promise made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob didn't expire. God is assuring the descendants that they will enjoy it. Your time is here to enjoy what your great grandfather could not wait to enjoy. He says, Deut 28:11 "The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity — in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground — in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you."
The dryness in the land doesn't have power over the promise of God for your life. He may decide to change situation just because of one person. Because of Joseph in Egypt, God turned their economy around. God held the sun and moon to ransom at the command of Joshua for Joshua to triumph over his foes. Because of you in the family, God will turn pains to your gain in Jesus name. The Bible says in Isa 30:23, "He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows."
God's promises never fails. He is God of righteousness, justice and perfection. Whatever he says will always be fulfilled.
Wait for Him. When God's promises for your life seem delayed, it is not because He cannot handle your desires. His appointed time for you is yet to come. Wait for Him and allow Him to perfect all things. He will not disappoint you. "For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." Hab 2:3
Trust in Him. God is dependable and trustworthy. He doesn't change because of situation or circumstances. He is not influenced by popular opinion. Stop relying on human efforts. Start trusting in God and you will not be put to shame. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;" Pro 3:5; Psal 4:5;
Obey His Command. Our God is merciful yet He demands obedience. You can't be rebelling against His words and expect his blessings. "And receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us." 1John 3:22,23; Isa 1:19.

Surpassing Grace for Prevailing Prayer

The prayer that will move God must be based on faith, intensity and righteousness.

James 5: 13-16

Introduction
Prevailing prayer is not by power or by  human devise. It is the grace of God helping us to reach out to the throne of God and find favour for fruitfulness. However, what moves God in our prayers is asking in line with His Word and standard. In the above text, the Qualities of Prevailing Prayer include:
Faith
Intensity
Righteousness

Faith:- The invisible God can only be reached through faith especially while praying. To pray in faith is approaching the throne of grace with confidence and assurance that whatever you ask from God is settled. The Bible says, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16. Know what God says about what you desire from Him and settle in your heart that you already have it. God's promises are made known in the Bible. He sometimes reveals in any medium He chose to use in communicating His will. Elijah knew the mind of God concerning the corruption and wickedness in the government of the day. He went to the wicked King and declare the closure of heaven for three and a half years. With the same conviction, he unlock the shut heaven.
Intensity:- "The word "fervent" means to have intense feeling and enthusiasm for something." You don't just go into prayer as a routine or ritual. You have to be passionate about what you are requesting from God. This passion is beyond fleshly appetite but bone out of the burden and concern for your need. In the Gospel according to Matthew, when Jesus saw the depression expressed on the faces of His audience he was moved to address it. Matt 9:36-38: "36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest." Matthew 9: 36-38
Righteousness:- Believing in God's promises and offering fervent prayer is good. However, if you lack God's righteousness, your prayer won't availeth much. Our Lord commanded us to "Seek God's kingdom and all His righteousness. All these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33. Apostle James emphasis in his book is practical Christianity. In order to prove your spirituality, you must demonstrate high moral standard. If you have bad character but gallant in prayer, you can only impress men and not God. No spiritual gifts can take the place of righteousness before God. If you harbour wickedness, anger,  pride, immorality, rebelion, oppression of the poor in your heart, you are just a sounding gong in God's presence.
Conclusion
The prayer that will move God must be based on faith, intensity and righteousness. This is righteousness through Christ and Christ alone. Get connected to Jesus Christ by confessing your short comings and be ready to forsake them. As you do so you will find favour in the sight of God in Jesus name.
Prayer Points
: "And  the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and  the earth shall yield her increase, and they  shall be safe in their land, and shall know  that I am the Lord, when I have broken the  bands of their yoke, and delivered them out  of the hand of those that served  themselves of them." Keys to Supernatural Blessings

...Today you will discover...how to tap into the irresistible blessings of God...

 Introduction
It is the will of God to pour immeasurable blessings upon His people in this end time. He is able to make everyone abound in all sufficiency at all times. However, not all who pray or give received such divine favour. As long as your trust is in the Lord, and as long as you give to take the Gospel to the nations, you are positioned to partake in the divine sufficiency! Today you will discover why you are not experiencing surpassing grace for sufficiency and how to tap into the irresistible blessings of God.  First let us examine some hinderances to supernatural blessings.

Hinderances to supernatural blessings
1. Lack of Knowledge:- This is a major weapon in the hands of the devil to rub a child of God of the access to the supernatural abundance. Isaiah 5:13;
2. Rebellion Against the Will of God:- This is willful breaking of the laws of God. It includes opposing and plotting against minister of God. No one ever kick against servants of God without experiencing misfortunes. Isaiah 1:19; Debut. 28:14
3. Satanic Manipulation:-In the supernatural realm and the wicked one, Satan is defeated and cannot directly stop the hands of God (Luke 10:18). However he manipulates and distort the mind of man towards that realm.

Keys to Supernatural Blessings
There are keys to releasing supernatural blessings. These are as shared below:
1. Seeking God's Kingdom:- In Psalm 23, the Psalmist's confidence in the Lord as his Shepherd results in sufficiency. Just as shepherd goes all the way in search of green pastures for his sheep, so the Lord provides for the needs of His children. Putting God first leads to contentment. Matt. 6:33
2. Living in God's Will:- The Lord's leading and guidance keep a man perpetually in the will of God. Whatever you ask according to His will can't go unfulfilled. 1John 5:14, 15
Do not allow the will of the flesh, the world or satan determine your fate. Only God's grace can lead to all sufficiency at all time for all good works.
3. Breaking Satanic Manipulation:- Shepherds use their rod to deal with any attack on the sheep. The rod is also a weapon to fight the enemies. Once the Psalmist remembered the presence of the Shepherd armed with His rod and staff, then he would be comforted. Ephesians 6:10-14.
Today, God has given us the Holy Spirit through whom we raise a standard against all enemies of our destiny.
As you rise to pray in the spirit, the Lord will break all negative protocols for you to experience supernatural blessings in Jesus name.

It Shall Turn to Praise

Your giant will fall before your presence... It is not about size but about the capacity you carry.

Text:-"For  his anger endureth but a moment; in his  favour is life: weeping may endure for a  night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5

Whenever we feel that God is absent it is because God wants to get our attention. This Psalm was written by David after the completion of the house of Cedar. At its dedication, he reflected on past crises  and God's deliverance. How God had drawn him up, healed him, restored him. He vowed to offer praises to God. Your pains shall turn to praises in Jesus name. God has delivered the psalmist from the power of death and hell; He will rescue you too.
David discovered that if sorrow or pain fills his night, it shall turn to praise in the morning.
There are major truths we need to observe as we share this prophetic theme:
A. Your pain is a reality that is hard to accept. However, it is also a reality that your pain shall turn to praise. Jesus told his disciples about the reality of suffering and pain. He says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye  shall weep and lament, but the world shall  rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your  sorrow shall be turned into joy." John 16:20. He was quick to add "Your sorrow shall be turned to joy" You crises is not the end of the world, there are better days ahead.
B. Your capacity to turn pain to praise is not about your size; it is about God who has the final say. David was just a young inexperienced lad who innocently came to see his brothers in war front. Goliath, the giant Philistine soldier who was armed to the teeth roared. He was threatening Israel's army. No one dared get closer, but David with just one stone in his sling brought down the giant. Your giant will fall before your presence in Jesus name. It is not about size but about the capacity you carry. He that dwells in you is greater than him that dwells in the world.
C. Difficulty is an opportunity to manifest God's glory not to ruin you. Your pain is a process towards your success. Wait till the end. David had gone through several crises and troubles. He fell into sin, rebuked by God, he suffered persecution and lack but he was not deterred. He realised that God's hand was not short to deliver. He trusted in God and vowed to offer praise for deliverance.
Therefore, to turn your pain to praise:
1. You must get your direction right. Direction determins destination, therefore seek the right path to victory in Jesus. He is the only Way to the Father. John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Phil. 2: 7-10; Hebrews 12:2. When direction is wrong speed becomes irrelevant.
2. Be ready to pay a price. Psalm 126:5,6. If you sow in tears, you shall reap in joy. Gal. 6:7; 2 Sam. 24:24; Gen. 22: 9-13, 15-18. Sacrifice is exchange of value. You offer what you have to gain a better one.
3. Trust in the surpassing grace of God. It takes the grace of God to reverse any irreversible. There are times our situations look so overwhelming. The Scripture says, "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye always in all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work" 2 Corinthians 9:8. Don't be discouraged, the favour of God will lift you out of the valley of pains to the mountain of praise in Jesus name.

The Futility of Explaining God

"... to teach unborn baby how to impregnate a woman."

The more man tries to explain God and God 'godness', the more confused because God surpasses all language or intellect.
To explain the spiritual to the understanding of the finite mind is in the least trying to teach unborn baby how to impregnate a woman.
Note that "The just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17

Divine Power for Service

God wants to use us to bless the world. He has made provision for power to serve and to prosper to the praise of His name.

Acts 1:8
Introduction
The Church mission is the extension of Jesus ministry on earth. The ministry of saving the perishing souls. Jesus began the mission in the power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38.  Before He ascended to heaven, He commissioned all believers in Him to go making disciples of all nations. This is a task that needs divine enablement.
The Promise of Power
He commanded the apostles to tarry in Jerusalem for the power. He said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the  Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall  be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,  and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto  the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8. This is the promise of the Father from on high. Luke 24:49.
The Purpose of the Power
Divine power in the believer is for dual purposes namely, building or edifying the body -the Church of Christ and Leading the world back to God through evangelism. These can only be accomplished by the Holy Spirit. Without the power of the Holy Spirit our service will be fruitless and useless works in the flesh.
Preparation for the Power
Our life is God's vessel for service. Every vessel need to be prepared for service. The Bible says, "20 But in a great house there  are not only vessels of gold and of silver,  but also of wood and of earth; and some to  honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a  man therefore purge himself from these, he  shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified,  and meet for the master’s use, and  prepared unto every good work." God wants to use us to bless the world. He has made provision for power to serve and to prosper to the praise of His name. We must surrender our lives to Him for use in building the body of Christ and winning the world to God. As we allow Him we shall prosper in Jesus name.

Building Godly Home

It is God who builds a home and will make it habitation of peace, joy, bliss and godly.
Text: - Ephesians 5:21-33

Introduction
The topic suggests that there are homes not built on godliness while some are. Also, it is evident from the topic that it is a continuous exercise. Hence, we are considering the building of a home based on divine plan, principle and purpose.
The original purpose of God for creating man was and is building an extention of heavenly kingdom on earth. He said, "Let us make man in our image, after  our likeness: and let them have dominion  over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl  of the air, and over the cattle, and over all  the earth, and over every creeping thing  that creepeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26. A man with sovereignty over the earth. A man with capacity to multipy and replenish the earth. A world of peace. A place of fellowship with and reverence for God. In chapter 2, God instituted a home that will project such kingdom family. However, this beautiful agenda eludes us right from the first family. It is God who builds a home and will make it habitation of peace, joy, bliss and godly. Allow him and your home will be a refuge in time of storm, rest from rigours of life and sufficiency in time of drought.
The first family rebelled against the will of God and consistently injuring the godly relationship between God and man. But Christ came to restore both the relationship and sovereignty back to man. Thats why Apostle Paul likened godly home to the relationship between the Church and Christ. "For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior" Ephesians 5:23.
The godly home has specifications for building  as recorded in the passage above. The specified materials for building godly home can be seen in two categories which I rferred to as bricks.

Bricks for Building Godly Home
There are two major types of bricks for building godly home as mentioned in the passage.
1. Submission:- Considering vs21&22 of the passage which says, " Submitting  yourselves one to another in the fear of  God. 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto  your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Submitting  yourselves one to another in the fear of  God." Today, there is campaign for gender equality. And many homes are facing challenges as a result of the crave for equality between couples. But the Word of God instructs us to submit to one another.
To submit according to the standard Greek-English dictionary, the verb translated as “submit” has a basic meaning of “subject oneself, be subjected or subordinated, obey.” The Greek verb used in 5:21 is hypotassō, which could be rendered in an overly literal way as “to be ordered under” (hypo—under; tassō—to order). Thus, “to subordinate” in English gets closest to the sense of the Greek (sub—ordinate). The standard Greek-English lexicon renders hypotassō in 5:21 as “voluntary yielding in love.” Therefore, every member of a godly home needs respect and leadership out of genuine love for God.
2. Love:- The second brick for building godly home is love. The Bible says, "25 Husbands, love  your wives, even as Christ also loved the  church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he  might sanctify and cleanse it with the  washing of water by the word, 27 That he  might present it to himself a glorious  church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any  such thing; but that it should be holy and  without blemish. 28 So ought men to love  their wives as their own bodies. He that  loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no  man ever yet hated his own flesh; but  nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the  Lord the church: Eph. 5:25-28.
In building godly home, we need
Sacrificial love: this is love giving all it takes to building godly home. You give your commitment, materials, body and life.
Nourishing love:-This is love providing for the needs of a home. In other word you shepherd your home as husband. This will make the family peaceful and enjoyable.
Cherishing love: It is the love that pays attention to oneanother in order to help, encourage and add value to life of the couples.

We Are Co-Labourers in Service

Prosperity is also a reward for kingdom service. Exodus 23:25...;

Text: - "8 Now he that planteth and he  that watereth are one: and every man shall  receive his own reward according to his  own labour. 9 For we are labourers  together with God: ye are God’s husbandry,  ye are God’s building.  10 According to the  grace of God which is given unto me, as a  wise masterbuilder, I have laid the  foundation, and another buildeth thereon.  But let every man take heed how he  buildeth thereupon." 1Corinthians 3:8-10
Introduction
There are three basic truths to be considered in reference to this topic. 1) the work of God is always in progress. 2) the work of God is always in partnership. 3) the work of God is always payback.
Explanations
1) The Work of God is always in Progress. Since creation, no one has ever completed what God started. He created Adam to keep and dress the garden of Eden. The works of keeping, dressing and sovereignty over the earth had been transmitted to Noah, to Abraham, Moses, the Prophets, the Apostles and now to us. If Jesus tarries, this generation will transmit same mandate to next generation. The Bible says, "6 Being confident of this very  thing, that he which hath begun a good  work in you will perform it until the day of  Jesus Christ:" Phil. 1:6(emphasis mine). You are not the first to do what you are doing in the house of God. You cannot be the last either.
2) The Work of God is Always in Partnership. The absoluteness of God is not in doubt. He is Almighty and not limited by time and space. Yet, in His own volition he decided to involve us in what He is doing. Thus we are to work with oneanother in the service of God. Whether you be planter or sprinkler, we need eachother to achieve desired goals. Read verse 9 of 1Corintians 9 again, "For we are labourers  together with God: ye are God’s husbandry,  ye are God’s building."
Though each person is unique, no one can achieve much in isolation. You belong to someone as someone belongs to you. "So  we, being many, are one body in Christ,  and every one members one of another." Romans 12:5
3) The Work of God is Always Payback. Serving in the vineyard of God is rewarding. Prosperity in the Kingdom of God is not just a function of hard work, planning, strategies and prayer. Prosperity is also a reward for kingdom service. Exodus 23:25; Matthew 6:33; Hebrew 6: 10, 11; Mark 10: 30, 31; 2 Corinthian 15: 58; John 15: 16; Galatians 6 :7; 2Corinthian 9: 6-8.
Conclusion
My dearly beloved, avail yourself and possession for the service of God. Be ready to work with one another in the house of God and everywhere you are. Serve willingly and in love to safe lives and God will surelly bless you richly in Jesus name.

Bended Knees

Prayer builds up relationship with God, develops spiritual vitality, helps discover the will of God, fight the battle of life and achieve what is difficult to achieve

Text: Genesis 32:6-12
The Lord had led the leadership of the Men Missionary Union of the Nigeria Baptist Convention to focus on bringing back fresh fire to our prayer life. This is a timely message and i strongly believe the Holy Spirit will rekindle the fire in us and there will be greater harvest in Jesus name.
Observe
The need for prayer,
The impediments to effective prayer life and
Overcoming challenges through bended knees.

Probing the Needs for Prayer: - "If God is all powerful, if God loves me and He knows all my needs, If God knows what I want even before I open my mouth, then why do I have to pray?"
The lost of eternal life, sovereignty over the earth and prosperitydue to rebelion against the will of God necesitates prayer. Everyone needs prayer because of our various needs. There are needs to be met in our marital life, career, education, politics, finance, debt, etc.
No matter how rich or poor a man is, it is evidently clear that he needs prayer. You may be educated or illitrate, there is one  need or the other in our lives that human effort can't provide. Suffice it to say that prayer will lift every demonic embargo.
Prayer builds up relationship with God, develops spiritual vitality, helps discover the will of God, fight the battle of life and achieve what is difficult to achieve.  John 14:12-14.
Marks of Life Without Bended Knees
Panic and fear
Mindful of mundane things
Inability to tarry before God
Irregular prayer life
Indecision
How to Build Effective Bended Knees
1. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
2. Know and pray the scripture
3. Approach God in prayer as friend who is ready and able to help you out
Conclusion
Prayer is a shield for protection, key to unlock doors of heaven and channel through which we communicate God. Everyone on earth needs prayer as lifeline in times of life challenges. The more you pray the more you know how to pray. Jesus prays, and he commanded us to pray. He says, "23 For verily I say unto you, That  whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be  thou removed, and be thou cast into the  sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but  shall believe that those things which he  saith shall come to pass; he shall have  whatsoever he saith." Mark 11:23.
As you pray through Him, your life and situation shall turnaround in Jesus name.

SURPASSING GRACE FOR ALL SUFFICIENCY

TEXT: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work” 2 Corinthians 9: 8
Keywords: Grace, Sufficiency, Good Work
The sinful man can only be saved through the Seeking Grace of God.
Every child of God can overcome the challenges of this world through the Sustaining Grace of God
We can possess whatever we desire from God through the Surpassing Grace of God
This year we are considering the third dimension to the grace of God. -The Surpassing Grace of God. And the Lord is leading us to enjoy the Surpassing Grace for every good work in Jesus name. Having prayed and sought the face of God the Holy Spirit ministered to me that His Grace will usher us into:
SERVICE,
SAFETY,
SUFFICIENCY
SUPPLICATION
Surpassing Grace for Service: The text we are considering must not be isolated from the context. Apostle Paul was addressing the issue of stewardship especially giving to the work of God and proper care for the ministers in the vineyard. The first verse points out the aim of writing by saying “For as touching the ministering to the  saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: Also, considering 2 Cor. 7: 7 which says, “Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.” Paul was not just focusing on giving money but every good work. It is a matter of personal life commitment to the service of God.
Part of the mark of spiritual adolescence is seeking for space to serve. Receiving the grace of God is demonstrated in the works we do in the house of God. “Those who are maturing in the faith are those who are seeking to work with God. But if one is to work with God in an effective manner,...”
The reason why God's work is so anemic in too many churches is because too many who are in positions of leadership or service are learning the Word and loving the Word, but not living the Word! And in a situation where some profess to be living by the Word, they are not doing it with all diligence. It is my prayer that the Lord will make all grace abound toward us for every good work in Jesus name.
Surpassing Grace for Service calls for proper planning. The Bible says, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” Do your work according to purpose and plan. Jesus Christ worked according to the purpose and plan of God. Even on the cross, the Bible relates His death to specific hours of the day when He said “It is finished.”
