ADVANCING WITH GREATER EXPLOITS

" And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11: 32
www.abundantgracemin.com
                                                       Introduction
“When one door closes, another opens: but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." As the door of 2016 closes, it is time to come to reality of 2017 which is another opened door for greater exploits. Stop regretting what you could not accomplish in the past year for here comes another opportunity to unlock an unhindered door into a greater and better future. Whatever door that you missed in the previous twelve months, I am glad to declare to you that another door for better job, better sales, better contract, better manifestation of the power of God in your life in the name of Jesus Christ.
Advancing is a word coined from the word advancement. It means “the process of promoting a cause or plan.” It is a forward movement or progress, especially when things are slow or difficult. However you are making headway. No matter how biting is the recession progression shall be your portion in Jesus name. Advancement connotes transformation, it entails changes and progress. You will make a difference in this year in Jesus name. God is not interested in stagnancy but advancement of His children. As children of God we cannot rest on our oar and be contented in the past achievements just to sit back and do business as usual. Do not be paralyzed by past defeats, loses, and pains. We are to move forward in faith personally and corporately as people of God. The Lord told the Israelite in the wilderness, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelite to move on. Exodus 14: 15; Hebrews 6: 1
Exhortation
Marching into the New Year goes beyond resolutions; it takes faith that looks forward. You must begin to see what you desire to achieve. Those that are concentrating on what they failed to achieve cannot be greater than their past. Stop looking on your past failures, agonies and loses. “Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.”
Faith has eyes to discern and discover what logic cannot fathom. When all human wisdom fail you, faith alone can be the catalyst that will turn around the situations. You must activate your faith sense in order to break even. No matter how great is your achievement now it is not enough. Look forward to the greater and better days ahead. Some of us had written off your leaders in the country.

Insight for Application
How can you advance with greater exploit?
1. Persist in Prayers: - Daniel was persistent in prayer and he experienced God in a way no one among the previous Prophets ever done.
2. Be filled with Power: - Jesus was advancing in the wisdom and power of God. He did greater exploits than the Pharisees and Sadducee. Matthew 2: 52; Acts 10: 38
3. Keep looking forward in faith to greater exploits: - it takes the eyes of faith to turn around hopeless situation to unprecedented breakthrough.

Conclusion
There cannot be alternative to your progress in the year. As you advance with greater exploits the Lord will release unto you the keys of the kingdom and whatsoever you decree shall be established in Jesus name.

CATCH UP WITH THE STAR

It is time to catch up with the Star. As long as you stay with your Herod, you can’t enjoy the leading of God and cannot experience fulfillment. The Word of God says, “When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.” When they lost sight of the star, joy eluded their heart and life. Herod was in charge of their destiny, searching records and dictating their move without joy. However, when they catch up with the Star, they were overjoyed.
Stars are proof of God. Psalm 148:2-4 says, “Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his armies! Praise him, sun and moon;praise him, all you shining stars.  Praise him, you heaven of heavens, and you waters above the heavens.”This verse shows the importance attached to stars. Throughout history stars have been used as navigational tools.  Stars are not meant for astrology, which is sinful. Worshiping stars has always been sinful.  “And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars all the heavenly array do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven” Deuteronomy 4:19; Isaiah 47: 13, 14; Deut. 8: 10 -14.
Our major focus is on the Star the Wiseman saw from the East. These men are called wise for they stayed on course and did not turn back or turn aside.  There were other bodies of light shinning and attracting attention out there.  We have Actors, Athletes, Politicians, Boyfriends (girlfriends), the Rich, materialism, and fame which can easily enter into our focus. The Wisemen remain wise when they never allowed any of those mundane things won their attention.
The moment they entered into politics to seek the star, they lost focus, peace, direction and entered into the hands of murderous king. Sometimes our curiosity or adventure lead us into a little sideline investigating which we assume will not hurt anything. However, before you know it, we lost sight of the "True Star" 2 Co. 11:14 says, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”Today, whatever might have tilted you away from the divine order of your destiny shall die in Jesus name.
How do you catch up with the star so that your joy may overflow?
Depart from your Herod
Discover the true Star
Determine to follow the Star
As you take these steps, you will locate and catch up with the Star and the Lord will restore your joy in Jesus name
*Every demonic herod that holds down your destiny shall die in Jesus name
*The evil intentions of your adversaries shall fail in Jesus name
*The messengers of evil pursuing your star shall never prevail in Jesus name
*Your record of greatness in the hands of your herod is taken by force in Jesus name
*You are set free from your destiny wasters in Jesus name
*Arise and advance to greater exploits in Jesus name
*You shall fulfil your divine purpose in life in Jesus name
*By divine command i declare doors of progress and greatness open to you in Jesus name

Good News of Great Joy

As we come together on the first Sunday of the month of December, and we are preparing for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, I feel compelled by the Spirit of God to lead our thought on the message of the angels to the shepherds: “An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:9-11).
Do you remember how you jumped shouted and danced around when you received an alert from your Bank credited by your Employer who owed you eleven months salary? This time it comes with promotion and incentives you never expected. You just couldn’t wait to get home, to find that friend or loved one, and blurt out the good news? You burst through the door, a big grin on your face, and you said: “guess what!” I declare this day; you shall receive great news of joy for your family to celebrate in Jesus name. Joy erupted in heaven and the overflow engulfed the earth so powerfully that the shepherd in the filled was terrified. Bu the angels said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people…”
It is no more a news that life in Lagos and Nigeria at large is not just easy. The country is in full blown recession and cost of living is attaining unimaginable height. a bag of rice during same period last year was just 7,000 but today its 22,000 while minimum wage of workers remain ₦18,000. Industries are laying off workers while some are relocating to nearby countries due to difficulty in doing business. There is security challenges everywhere and church attendance dwindling. There are the struggles, difficulties, pains, untimely death, etc. Sometimes we even feel the pain more severely during the Christmas season. Expectations are dashed while frustration and depression set in. I have a message of hope from the throne of grace you, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2: 14. The favor of the Lord which passes the political favoritism rests on you for hope and breakthrough in Jesus name.
Sometimes we fail to differentiate between happiness and joy. Happiness results from situations when we get our salary, or get a bonus, or when we are out with friends, or when we go on holiday. We feel happy when we can enjoy good food or drinks. But feelings of happiness come and go.  And sometimes happiness turns to disappointment especially when the source of happiness exhaust like the wine in Cana of Galilee during wedding. This is not so with joy which is far deeper than happiness. It does not depend upon the circumstances or the situation. Stop depending on mundane things for happiness and turn to the person who is able to fill you with joy. Psalm 43:4; Psalm 16:11; Psalm 98:4; Isaiah 35:10; John 15:11; Acts 13:52; Galatians 5:22
PRAYER POINTS
Lord I thank you for releasing your Son Jesus Christ to the World especially me
I thank you Lord for divine favour received through Jesus Christ
I renounce every burden of sin and Satan that is hindering my joy in Jesus name
O Lord; arise and break all yokes of sadness in my life in Jesus name
I surrender my worries and burdens to you Lord. Lift up my head for greater testimonies in Jesus name
Every agent of sad news turn away from me in Jesus name
Lord; visit me with unprecedented breakthrough in Jesus name

DILIGENCE: KEY TO GREATNESS

G. S. Adeyemo
TEXTS: - Jeremiah 31:16 “Thus says the LORD, "Restrain your voice from weeping And your eyes from tears; For your work will be rewarded," declares the LORD, "And they will return from the land of the enemy.”
Proverbs 10:4 “Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.”
 Definition
Diligence and hard work are words we use interchangeably. They are associated with assiduity, persistence, determination and consistence. However, I will like to stick to the former.  Diligence means that we are continually working toward our goals, making use of what resources and opportunities are available. We are vigilant to avoid errors and to stay focused on the task at hand. Our diligence provides a basis for people trusting us with jobs that are tricky or complicated and also important to them. Miguel De Cervantes says, “Diligence is the mother of good fortune, and idleness, its opposite, never brought a man to the goal of any of his best wishes.”
Observations
God rewards diligence. Whatever you do, never shrink or lag. It may be inconvenient at a start but God is watching and will never overlook every drop of your sweat. The word of God says, “The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, But everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5.  Those great men and women of the Bible are rewarded for their diligence search and service for God. Though we are saved by faith yet we are challenged to be diligent in service. 1 Kings 11: 28; 2 Chronicles 24:13; Ezra 5:8; 2 Corinthians 8:11; 1 Timothy 5: 17; Proverbs 10: 4; 2 Thessalonians 3: 10
Rewards of Diligence
A diligent hand rules others Proverbs 12: 24
Harvest of Riches Proverbs 10: 4
Diligence brings favour Proverbs 11: 27
Application
How to be Diligent
1. Remove distractions.   Stay focused and do not be distracted by your phone, internet, television, friends and anything that will not contribute to your goals.
2. Keep yourself organized. Keep your diary or calendar of activities closer to you. You are advised to have to-do-lists. Learn to plan well and stick to your action plans except when it is stringently necessary to alter it.
3. Put first thing first. Prioritize your activities in order of importance. The word of God talks about precept upon precept and line upon line. I am sure you have heard of putting the horse before the cart and not the other way round.
4. Maximize your time. This is one thing we cannot recreate or expand. Both the rich and the poor have the same numbers of hours per day. Use your time efficiently. Do not spend too much time on what cannot add value to your status. Chatting without gaining is self destroying.
Conclusion
Activities do not bring productivity but intensity and assiduity will earn you favour. Diligence does not remove faith but activate it. Without diligence you cannot study the word of God effectively. Prayers will be lifeless without diligence. Therefore take heed to Divine instructions from the Bible that says, “Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given you through the prophecy spoken over you at the laying on of the hands of the elders. Be diligent in these matters and absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all. Pay close attention to your life and to your teaching. Persevere in these things, for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.…” 1 Timothy 4: 14-16.
Remain blessed in Jesus name.

BRING BACK OUR GIRLS

"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."  Titus 2:3-5
The topic the Lord opened my eyes to share with you is “Bring Back Our Girls. “ On the night of 14–15 April 2014, 276 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria. “Since then hopes were raised on various occasions that the 219 remaining girls might be released. Newspaper reports suggested that Boko Haram was hoping to use the girls as a negotiating pawn in exchange for some of their commanders in jail.”  Various Organizations, Groups, eminent personalities and world leaders have been clamouring for the release and return of these kidnapped teenagers. Among those at the vanguard of campaigns for the return of these girls is a group well known as Bring Back Our Girls led by former Education Minister, Obiageli Ezekwesili. Among their demands is “That the 219 Chibok schoolgirls abducted on April 14, 2014 be rescued by the government.”
Today, most of our teenage girls are snatched from us by various forces leading them out of the reach of parents and the Church. They are lost in the social vices posing serious dangers to the future of these precious home builders. Just as the man of God Charles Mims says, “We are a nation at war! Not a war of bullets and missiles, not a war of tanks and planes, but a real war nonetheless. It is a war that is fought out in the lives of our most precious commodity, our very children. It is a war that is insidious in nature, devious in implementation, and disastrous in its results.”
The Bible is so explicit about the life of our children girls in particular. In the Epistles of Paul to Titus, we read “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.” Titus 2: 3-5.
Every parent must battle to bring back our girls from the enemies of their souls that are bent on destroying their glory and using them as agents of sorrow for the family.
Let us teach them the Word of God, Let us give them home training. Allow them to associate with godly children rather than sons of ‘Boko Haram’ otherwise known as sons of Balial in the Bible.  We need to rescue those who are already morally and spiritually kidnapped. Civilization is no excuse for moral decadence. There are still godly girls with moral chastity. Children brought up by parents with integrity. As we celebrate these young girls in the Baptist Family, let us continue to pray for them, their directors and the Baptist family at large. I really commend the Girls Auxiliary Director of our great Association, the Good News Baptist Association and their Counselor here in Christ Baptist Church Alimosho Lagos. You have done wonderfully well on these girls. Those who are yet to give their lives to Christ and the Word of God will surely be rescued and brought back in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS
  • Thank you Lord for blessing us with these beautiful and precious girls
  • Every seed of corruption planted in them is uprooted in Jesus
  • Lord break every covenant made with demons in their lives in Jesus
  • I send the fire of the Holy Spirit upon ancestral curses that is against your glory in Jesus name
  • You are delivered from every power that holds down your destiny in Jesus name
  • I prophesy long life with peace and success on you in Jesus name
  • I declare your future free from glory regret and torment in Jesus name.

Faithfulness: - Key to Fruitfulness

                                                       http://www.abundantgracemin.com/

“Little thing is a little thing, but faithfulness in a little thing is a big thing.” This wise saying is true to every area of life. It is a divine principle for fruitfulness and unprecedented breakthroughs. God respects a faithful man whatever condition you find yourself, He is ready to defend you to the end. God was proud of Job in the presence of Satan; “Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." We are considering two areas of faithfulness that leads to fruitfulness.
1. Being Faithful To God And His Word
The Lord expects anyone who is waiting for blessings to be faithful to Him and His words. He says, “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16; Deut. 7: 9; 1 Kings 2:3-4
We need to be faithful to God’s word also. We are to know it by heart so that we will not go out of God’s will, Psalms 119:11; John 15:7; Isaiah 26:3.
God doesn’t make a distinction between men in the great rewards that are yet to be made.  God doesn’t make a distinction between men—that this man is a ten-talent man or a five-talent man or a two-talent man—and being faithful in that, why he is given, in God’s sight, a greater reward than a man of a lesser talent who also is faithful in his degree.  But God commends them all alike.  For the great and one principle upon which God judges us is not according to our gifts, but according to our faithfulness in what God entrusts us with. 2 Corinthians 8:12. The important thing in the sight of God is not what you have but how you use what you have:  to be faithful, to be true, to be honest, to be dedicated, and to give to God the highest best of what God has given to you.
2. Being Faithful To the Church Authority
The Church is a Christian’s spiritual family where every member belongs to the others. Church relationship is built on covenant sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ. Such faithfulness is reflected in the way we obey the leaders. Don’t judge, seek take revenge from them or harm them, Hebrews 13:7; 1 Corinthians 4:1-21; 1 Samuel 24:1-6; Psalm 105:15. Be sincere and respect them for your own good and blessings. Always support them in ministry, as they labor for the Kingdom of God, in tears and in sweat, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13; 1 Timothy 5:17-18. Remember Ananias and Sapphira Acts 5:1-11. Be faithful and do well to all those around you no matter who they are or what they did to you. If you desire to be faithful to God you must be ready to create right relationship with God and love everyone, even your enemies. It’s call being faithful!
Do your best to keep your promises. God evaluates your faithfulness based on how well you keep to the promises you made. Proverbs 20:25 says, “It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later consider your vow.”  The Bible is saying that faithfulness is a matter of if you say it, you do it. You keep your promises.
 The Benefits of Faithfulness
Faithfulness to God and the family of God is rewarding. The rewards include:-
Deliverance Gen. 41: 14
Promotion Gen. 41: 38-43
Fruitfulness Rom 4:20-21
Peace of mind Isaiah 3: 10
Conclusion
Beloved in the Lord, it is good to pray, give and work. Above all, faithfulness is the key to your fruitfulness. Be faithful and you will be blessed in Jesus name

Count Your Blessings

Introduction
Considering the experiences of Job it is justifiable skipping Thanksgiving; however the voice of God came to Him amidst the turmoil of his life with an interesting statement in Job 37:14 saying, "Hear this, O Job. Stop and consider the wondrous works of God." From all indications Job has nothing at all to be thankful for, but the message God was passing across to Job was it's time to count your blessings. So the Topic the Lord is laying upon my heat to share with you is 'Count Your Blessings' if you are going through pains and trials thinking why me? You have to stop and listen to the voice of God saying son/daughter Count Your Blessings and see what I have done for you. Physical and material possessions are not the only things we consider as blessings. Wealth and riches come and go but the genuine blessings of God are irrevocable.
“Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.” Proverbs 23:5
Reasons for Thankfulness
Every Christian is given the seed of blessings at conversion. How do I know this truth? Turn your Bible to 2 Peter 1:3 it reads "According  as his divine power hath given unto us all  things that pertain unto life and godliness,  through the knowledge of him that hath  called us to glory and virtue:" His divine power refers to the Holy Spirit in the believer. He connects us to the source of blessings so that we can tap into God's abundance in the heavenly places.
You are not a failure. It is unscriptural to believe Christianity is all about struggles. That is not what Jesus teaches about poor in the spirit. Everything pertaining to life was given to us. We are blessed before we are blessed. The Bible says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" Ephesians 1:3. Whatever you possess or desire to possess originates from the spiritual realm. What we see is the manifestations of the spiritual treasures in the heavenly places.
You have the keys of God’s kingdom. Jesus said to His Disciples "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:18. One major blessing of a Christian is divine authority conferred in him by God. It is certainly true that the fullness of the Spirit empowers and enlightens the believer. By this alone a child of God is enabled to exercise delegated authority.
With this special grace upon a child of God, you can change situations and claim other blessings stored in the heavenly places. Therefore, rejoice and give thanks for you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings that qualifies you for material blessings on earth. You are given authority to heal the sick, to cast out demons and whatsoever you bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you lose on earth is loosen in heaven.

Remain blessed in Jesus name.

Serving for Glorious Turnaround

For every Christian, service should be the heart of our life.   I have heard on several occasions that we should appeal to our fathers in the Lord-pastors to make members perform. In other words, if the church is not growing, it is the fault of the Pastor. If any Ministry of the Church is not viable the Pastor is to blame. Pastors on the other hands blame the members for not responding well to teachings and instructions from the Pastors. The truth is that everyone is expected to play his or her roles in order to fulfill our mandate. The success of one is the success of all and the failure of one is the failure of all.
The old comparison between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea is still true. Galilee is a lake full of life because it takes in water but also gives it out. In the contrary, nothing lives in the Dead Sea because; it never flows out while taking in waters. There is glorious turnaround if your life constantly and consistently releases whatever gift you have received. The Scripture says, “Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.  But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.” Hebrews 6: 7 and 8 we cannot claim to be blessed when no one is blessed through us. As we grow in Christ, so also we must be ready to serve.
Service Leads to Profit: when you're committed to serving God through serving people through your work, the Lord Himself will be ready to open doors for your success and prosperity. If you faithfully render services, you will definitely prosper. The reason why many businesses fail is because the owners are so mindful of monetary gain. We are after profits not after service to the people.  Any Government that is after tax tax without service to humanity will eventually fail and be humiliated. Beloved be ready to look after others.
What often happens in the local church is that ministry becomes institutionalized instead of being personalized. In other words, “having a ministry” comes to mean, “I serve on the board of elders,” or on the budget committee, or “I teach Sunday School.” All these are important ministries, of course. I'm not belittling them. But it's possible to keep the institution rolling along, but to miss the heart of ministry, which is building into the lives of people. I read of a new Christian who was leading a number of his friends to Christ and seeing them begin to grow in Christ. But the people in his church were encouraging him to become one of the sponsors of the high school youth group so that he could have a ministry! Many who claim to have ministries today would have better be in a church functioning to affect lives for the growth of the Church and the kingdom of God at large. But they felt, the gift manifesting in their lives means they should go out to start their own ministry. The purpose of God for every gift is to meet others needs thereby integrating them in the body of Christ. Let your life and faith affect other people’s life and as you do that you will experience glorious turnaround spiritually, numerically and materially. Remain blessed in Jesus name

Let Your Children Come -Mark 10: 13

http://www.abundantgracemin.com/
“13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.”
Some parents were bringing their children to Jesus. Unfortunately, they were met with hindrance-the disciples of Jesus rebuked them. No reason is stated for their action. However we may try to suggest what could have warranted the action of the disciples who rebuked parents bringing their children to Jesus. I doubt if anyone would not be interested seeing his/her children associated with Jesus.
Though we bring children to Church for dedication but experiences show that not all those children were actually handed over to Jesus. According to Mark, Jesus was responding to questions from the Pharisees with regards to divorce. “Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” v2 when people like that were bringing children to Jesus, the disciples might think they don't worth it. A marriage at the verge of separation may find it near impossible bringing children to Jesus. Parents, please don't allow your pride, selfish ambition, career, pleasure or education rob you of bringing your children to Jesus. Nevertheless, you need to be sure God is not missing in your home.
May I share this story with you: “Two brothers were always getting into trouble? Whenever something went wrong in the neighborhood, or  in school, they were usually to blame. One day their parents decided to ask their pastor  for help. The pastor  decided he would see them one at a time. He wanted to remind them that, no matter where they were or what they were doing that God was with them and saw them. The pastor met with the first brother. He pointed his finger at him and said, “Where is God?” The boy looked under the desk, in the corners of the room, out of the window, but said nothing. Again, the pastor asked, “Where is God?” The boy panicked and ran out the door and all the way home. Finding his brother he dragged him up to their bedroom and said, “We are in BIG trouble.” The brother asked, “What do you mean BIG trouble?” He stammered and replied, “God is missing and they think we did it.” When God is missing in the family, they will be in big trouble because they will find it difficult to live in peace with one another and their neighbours. Where is God in your family?
People of God, we need to beware of stopping the children from coming to Jesus Christ. Let me appreciate all of us for our cooperation on our Children Ministry. Especially my appreciation goes to their Ministers. Sometimes, churches handle children ministry so lightly. They place less priority on them. Let us give more attention to our children and provide enabling environment for their spiritual and academic growth.

The Power of Choice

I am led to speak to you on a very vital issue this morning: ‘The Power of Choice.’ Yes today being Covenant Sunday which many of us think it is time to talk of money, giving, prosperity, wealth creation or freedom from poverty and many fanciful topics. But God is pleased to lead me in ministering on this subject as mentioned.
I spent much time meditating on the Scripture which says, "If ye be  willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good  of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel,  ye shall be devoured with the sword: for  the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it."Isaiah 1:19, 20. I discovered that the Lord gives us the ability to make choices in life. Hence, our destiny can be determined by the choice we make. Someone said, "The choices we make actually define who we are. Choices establish our core values that shape our faith and our actions, and determine how we live. As we are given the gift of each new day, we choose how we will use it."
You cannot just live above the choice you make. The situation of our country depends on the choices you and me made at one time or the other: The choice to vote or not to vote, the choice to collect money and vote in wrong leaders, the choice to loot our treasury and not to safe for raining days. The choice to attend special centers for a result you never worked for. I can continue to go on and on like that. Today, we are faced with the consequences.
The consequences include bad governance, unemployable graduates, poverty, terrorism, insecurity, recession, empty hospitals and high mortality rate. Let me ask you, how do you make your choice daily? The choice you make determines the life you live.
You may choose to serve God and enjoy peace, prosperity and eternal life. Joshua challenged the Israelites while going to the Promised Land,
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."Josh 24:15
Lot made his choice based on sight and faced the consequences in Sodom and Gomorrah. "Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other."Gen 13:11

"I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not."Isaiah 66:4
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: Pro 1:29
The choice you make determines the life you live. Even when you think you wont choose anything so that you don't make mistake, it is a choice not to make a choice. That means you chose others to choose for you. You bear the consequence of your choice. God has given each of us the power of choice, but once we have made our choice, we have no power to choose the consequences. Many people in the Bible messed up their lives because of their bad choices. Their stories serve as examples for us. Even Solomon, the wisest ruler who ever lived, chose the false gods of his many wives, strayed from the one true God, and ruined his life.
God gave you a free will to choose. You choose according to your desires. Will your present desires lead to wise choices for the future?
You may choose to serve God or not, but you will bear the consequences. God says, "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it."Isaiah 1:19, 20.
I appeal to you today, choose to repent from your wrong doings.
I appeal to you today, choose Jesus as your Lord and Saviour
I appeal to you today, choose to serve the Lord your God

Abundant Grace Ministries: Serving God through Serving Others

Abundant Grace Ministries: Serving God through Serving Others: "For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one...

Serving God through Serving Others

"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself " Galatians 5:13-14 ESV.
One of the most blessed ways for you to serve is to ask God to give you opportunities to serve. Such opportunities will come your way to glorify God in your life. Everyone wants to be great, famous, influential and wealthy and lead others, but little did we know that greatness is not in amassing wealth or position but in lives you impact. However, serving God draws you and others closer to God. For those reasons, we do a lot to achieve such desires. The desire of God for all Christians is that we serve Him through others. If serving Him is not attracting more souls to God’s kingdom, then we are not serving God. In the story of the righteous and the wicked, Jesus said,
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’  “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25: 34-40
God made each one of us with unique ability to add value to people’s life and draw them to the kingdom of God. And when we invite Jesus into our lives, we’re given at least one spiritual gift or the other to function in the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:14-16. As we do so, the Lord blesses us with eternal inheritance and makes way for us in the wilderness while water gushes out of our desert. Regardless of what season of life you’re in, there are small, simple acts that can be done every day to serve those around you and ultimately, to serve Christ.  Many of these you probably already do. These are easy and practical ways to develop a servant’s heart.  Colossians 3:23 says “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men…”  When we serve others in these simple ways, we are serving the Lord. For example you are going on the road and find someone with flat tyre; you can give a helping hand to fix it. What of taking care of your wife or husband do certain things that will ease his or her stress? “Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant.”   (Matthew 20:26)
The main excuses by many of us are:
I Don’t Have Time. My job does not allow for all these church activities. This is Lagos where man must struggle for survival. The truth is that God calls people who are engaged in one business or the other. Peter was a fisherman, Matthew a tax collector Paul a tentmaker etc. my brethren excuse does not remove offense. With such responsibilities on you, God wants you to serve. Others are using their family as excuse and many other engagements for not serving the Lord and others. Who knows whether your present predicament is because you fail to honour God with your job? What is your excuse for evading service to God through serving others?
I Don’t Know What I Would Do. It is not until you go to Seminary before you know how to serve the Lord. One thing you need first is availability. If you are available, teachable and responsible definitely you will know what to do in serving the Lord. Be available for discipleship, Bible Study, Fellowship and other spiritual gathering where the Bible is genuinely taught. “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25 (CEBA) Don't stop meeting together with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near) Heb 10: 25; Rom. 12: 1-2
Why is serving so important? Let us share together reasons for serving God through serving others:
1. Serving Brings Fulfillment And Joy. People who need your help exist all around you, in your home, your neighborhood, and your work place.  You cannot be happy while those in pain and hardship surround you. When you meet people’s need, there is sense of fulfillment. The disciples came back rejoicing with testimonies. “The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.” So He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.…” Luke 10: 17, 18
2. Serving Allows Us To Experience Miracles. In John 2, Jesus was at a wedding and the couple was running out of wine for its guests. He tells the servants to fill several big jars to the brim. When they served the water to the guests, it was wine! The guests never knew what happened; the servants were the ones who witnessed the miracle. The same is true for us when we serve.
3. Serving Draws People to God More. As we care for those around us, we are in turn cooperating with God as colabourer with God in his work. In other words He is working through us thereby fulfilling His desires for His creation. Those who serve also derives unprecedented blessings including drawing closer to God, becoming fruitful and supportive of those we serve. You must be an answer to your neighbours’ prayer by serving God through serving others. In this difficult period in our nation where the cost of a bag of rice is higher than minimum wage, the people of God must show concern for one another and the dying world. It is high time we think more of what to do for others to better their lots. One of the reasons why Satan and the world are not respecting the Christians today is the attitude of self-centeredness. Everyone minds his or her territory trying to outdo one another in mundane things. It was not so during the early Church.  In Acts 2: 44-47 the Bible says, “All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved”
Serving God is not only meant to bless the servant of God but leads to our joy, miracles, fulfillment of divine mandate and turning lives to the Kingdom of God. Ask God to grant you opportunities to serve your neighbours. Closed doors of blessings in your life will be opened in Jesus name.

CONFESS IT AND HAVE IT

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
Let me begin by saying in the words of Bishop Oyedepo, “It is only what you make happen that happens. If you do nothing, you get nothing!” God gives effect to whatever we speak out of our mouth. There is nothing you need that the word of God cannot supply except what is not based on the word of God. It is the word that brings into existence what we see and even those we cannot see.
The universe was created through the word. Nine times the words, “And God said” appears in Genesis chapter one. Each time God spoke something was created, formed, or made. God never created anything that was not from the word that proceeds from His mouth. He said let there be light and there was light. He spoke everything into existence. John 1: 1-4 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” Whatever God did or is doing and will ever do lies in the power of His word. In the same vein, God confers in us the authority to speak and have whatever we say. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” Mark 11: 24. What you say is what you get. In other words, what you confess you will possess.
The word of God is not only informative, it is creative. It enlightens the mind and at the same time brings into existence our confessed intents. The Bible says, “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrew 11:3. The Word of God is an expression of who He is. It is full of His creative power; God’s Words are containers of His creative power.
When the words of God dwell in you, you will do what God does with His word. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3: 16, 17. There is irresistible supernatural power in God's word; it will not return to Him empty. God’s Word will accomplish His desires and purposes. The King James Version descriptively says that the word of God will not return void to Him (Isaiah 55:11). In other words, it will get the job done! The Word of God is powerful, because it is guaranteed by God to be effective. When you speak the Word of God, you are tapping into limitless power! The actual words of the Bible are anointed by the Holy Spirit Himself – and they have the full ability to completely change and transform life and situations if you are willing to work with the divine instructions that are contained in the actual words.
Your life revolves round what you confess with your mouth. If you confess blessings, you dwell in the blessings and if you confess curses same come back to you. Your words set the tone of your life. It is the word you speak that shape your destiny. Stop confessing negative things on your life and situation and you will enjoy the fruit of your lips. The Bible says, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” Proverbs 18: 21.
Lots of woes that we experience in life are traceable to what we've spoken. "Mistakes of the tongue have destroyed more people, ruined more marriages, and cost more businessmen their jobs and their futures than any other kind of mistake." How are you using your tongue? Whatever you might have spoken that is tying down your destiny is broken in Jesus name.
Take a moment to pray the following prayer points and unbundle your destiny from retrogression and frustrations.
Now the God of hope fill me with all joy through the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Romans 15: 13.
The Lord shall surely raise helps and keep me from failure in Jesus name. Shalom
For the angels of the Lord surround me, no weapon fashion against me shall hurt me in Jesus name.
Those to bless me shall locate me today in Jesus name
The God who turns around all situations is by me to turn my grief to joy, failure to success, darkness to light, good dreams to realities, pains to gain in Jesus name. Isaiah 43: 18, 19
I see God raising me as a superstar to my generation, I see God decorating me for greatness, I see God fulfilling my dream now.
My angel with uncommon gifts of great joy shall locate me as I go out today in Jesus name.
Everyone that God paid a visit enjoyed unprecedented miracles. The visitation of God brings a harvest of miracles. The Lord shall visit me today in Jesus name.
Thus saith the Lord, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will God not forget me in Jesus name Isaiah 49: 15.
He (God) will yet fill my mouth with laughter and my lips with shouts of joy in Jesus name

TRUST IN THE LORD

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
The President, Abundant Grace Mission
Let God be your Anchor and the tide of this world shall not overwhelm you; The Bible says, “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death” Philippians 1:20. You can also say like the Psalmist, "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee forever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints." Psalm 52:8, 9. God will be glorified in your life and you shall live to fulfill divine purpose. Do not allow the circumstances around you pull you down. It’s a temporary experience that will soon be over. The Lord our God is a man of war and our Captain. He is our Commander leading and guiding every step in the right direction. At the shout of His name all foes shall melt like wax. “Now it came about when all the kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the sons of Israel until they had crossed, that their hearts melted, and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the sons of Israel. Joshua 5:1. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. Psalm 46:6.
Your breakthroughs shall locate you when you least expected. The Lord blesses you and lift up your head above all forms of evil attack in Jesus name
Every form of battle raging against your family is hereby shattered into pieces in Jesus name.  Arise and celebrate in Jesus name.
The rod of the wicked that has been afflicting you catches fire in Jesus name. As you go out, the Lord will watch over your steps and lead you away from all disasters in Jesus name.
Pharaoh would have thwarted the promise of God for Abraham if not for the divine intervention. "And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife."  Genesis 12: 17. The Lord will rescue your family from your Pharaoh (the family Destroyer) in Jesus name.
Your battles are over and the Lord wipes away your tears of pain and mourning in Jesus name.

From Tragedy to a Triumph

“See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”  The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.  Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Hebrew 12: 25-29

God speaks to His people in various forms through various media. He spoke to the Israelites on Mount Sinai through terrible storm, earthquake, fire and thunder.   Exodus 19:18. They were so terrified that they told Moses to beg God not to speak to them again. Some were consumed by the fire while some were stoned to death for touching the mountain. What a tragedy! However, God has chosen a better way to speak to us today which should draw us into deeper relationship, reverence and love for Him in our heart. In the opening lines of the Book of Hebrews, the Bible says, “ In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” Hebrew 1: 1-3
The basis of the text above is that God would turn our tragedy into a triumph by shaking all the shakable of life and translate to the unshakeable kingdom of God.  Haggai 2:6. As we consider this topic we shall observe the following truths.
It is the desire of God to give a final shaking of every shakable using circumstance around us. The events around the globe is a pointer to the truth of the Scripture that God is giving a final shaking of every shakable. I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, at the wrath of the Lord of hosts in the day of his fierce anger. Isaiah 13:13.  In 2003-2012 (106,654) natural disasters were recorded and 96.5 million people became victims worldwide. In 2014, the number of people killed by floods 3,634 and storms 1,239 In 2015, About 150 major natural disasters affected millions of people worldwide in 2015. Asia again bore the brunt of these disasters reported globally. Floods continue to be the most frequently occurring natural disasters and also affect the most people worldwide All these are prophecies come true and signs of the end time. Even the man-made disasters and violence against humanity especially the persecutions of the Christians are happenings to awake our slumbering giants.
Are you experiencing any shaking around you? God is preparing you for a brighter future. All these shakings will lead to triumph here and hereafter in Jesus name.

By His Stripes

 Rev'd and Pastor G. S. Adeyemo
Our focus in this edition is ‘Divine Healing;’ God never intended for us to be sick in body, spirit and soul rather, that we have physical health, as well as that of soul and spirit. The Bible says, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." 3 John 2 Your pain and aches are not to death, you are in God’s plan for perfect health at all times. Perhaps, you or your loved one is going through untold pain, the Word of God shall fall on you and you shall be healed in Jesus name. Doctor's report may seem scary while your experience is telling you no more hope for you. God's verdicts stand sure which says, "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." Psalm 107:20. That same living Word is creative and redemptive, infallible and able to heal you from all forms of sicknesses.
No matter what might be responsible for your sickness, by the stripes of Jesus Christ you are healed. You need to reach out in faith and receive what Jesus did for you!  He died and rose from the death just for remission for sins of the world and deliverance from its consequences, however, that doesn't mean that the world will be saved, except they come to God and receive what Jesus did for them.
Sickness and diseases are known symptoms of a curse. It was God who placed the first curse on the soil which was and is the host of man's resources for survival. The curse of hardships was placed on mankind as God said "Unto the woman..., I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast  hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and  hast eaten of the tree, of which I  commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not  eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake;  in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of  thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it  bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the  herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face  shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto  the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for  dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou  return. It is an agelong plague that defies all efforts by man." Gen. 3:15-18; Deuteronomy 28:59-61. Since Jesus paid the price on the cross to set us free from all curses (Galatians 3:13), why would there be any reason for a child of God to still be living under a curse? Every single person who came to Jesus for a healing was healed. The Bible says, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him" Acts 10:38.
If a person is under a curse, according to the Bible, evil has come upon them in some way. Sickness, tragedy, or bad circumstances are occurring in their lives. As a result of idolatry and some form of sins, a curse is placed on such person. Most times the manifestation is seen in terminal illness. No curable drugs can be procured in the hospitals. In Jeremiah the Bible reveals, “Why criest thou for thine affliction? Thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. Why criest thou for thine affliction? Thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.”
The question that may come to mind is ‘if it’s the will of God that we should be in sound health, why do we sick?’ Also, ‘what are the causes of illness and how can we be in good health?’ Andrew Murray once said “If Christians learned to realize practically the presence of the Lord that health, their spiritual life would thereby be developed and sanctified” The Bible is explicit that by the stripes of Jesus Christ, we are healed. "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."1 Peter 2:24, but why are there so many Christians who are still sick? All believers are entitled to healing; however, if we don't reach out in faith to accept what was given to us, it won't be manifested in our lives.  Coming with sin are all manners of sicknesses into the world, and "so death passed upon all men..." Romans 5:2, 14; Genesis 2:17; 3:17
Physical healing is closely associated in scripture with spiritual deliverance and forgiveness of sin. Psalms 103:3; Isaiah 33:24; 53:3-5; Matthew 4:24; 8:16-17, 9:26; 12:22; Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:18, 20-23; 6:17-18; 8:2,36; 11:14;13:16; Acts 5:16; 10:38; James 5:15.
PRAYER POINTS
As we humbly pray together seeking divine healing, say, Lord Jesus, I agree that I am a sinner. I am ready to forsake my sinful life. I believe You died for me and rose the third day. I invite you into my heart and life. Come in as my Lord and Saviour from now on. Thank you for saving me. As from today on, I will obey the words of God, fellowship with other believers where the Bible is taught. Help me so to do in Jesus mighty name I pray.
I want you to pray the following prayer points:
I renounce all curses inherited from my parents in Jesus name
I plead the blood of Jesus Christ upon my soul and body in Jesus name
O Lord, purge me from the contamination from generational curses in Jesus name
I command the fire of Holy Spirit on the root of sickness in my body in Jesus name
I break the yoke of terminal illness from my bones and body in Jesus name
You devouring diseases in my blood stream, die in in Jesus name
By the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed from cancer in Jesus name
By the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed from barrenness in Jesus name
For I am fearfully made, I command you sickness to panic and fade away from my body in Jesus name.
I am healed from all illness in Jesus name.
Thank you Lord, Jesus Christ for healing me. Seal me with your blood in Jesus name.

Peace amidst the Storm of Life

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
President, Abundant Grace Ministries
Alimosho Lagos

Your anxiety about the future is unnecessary, for God is already there before you get there. Anxiety is a form of intense fear or worry about uncertain end. It is a crippling fear that tells you about what you cannot do, achieve, what you will fail to attain before the reality. If you listen without evaluating what you’re being told, it’s easy to become frightened. It makes you feel so uncomfortable resulting to certain unusual behavior. Sometimes it comes as a result what you hear, see or feel. When you begin to think something bad is about to happen, anxiety sets in. you become impatient to see a result. Those who are married may testify to this when your pregnant wife tells you she would go to hospital as a result of certain pressure within. Getting to the hospital waiting to see the doctor, you become anxious to get card, to be next patient to see doctor, anxious to hear the result. By the time you were asked to go back and bring baby wears and others, while the woman goes to the labour room you become more restless. What runs through your mind if for after an hour they are still in labour room? When hearing the yelling of your wife the intensity of agitation becomes so visible and you walk up and down. You want the nurse to tell you how far?  There is a strong desire for something to happen. However, your anxiety cannot do anything about the pang of the woman. It won’t bring solution except the doctor does what is necessary to be done and God approves it.
Anxiety tears you apart between your regrets about yesterday and tomorrow uncertainty. Your mind goes one way and the body goes other ways. You are on your way to church but the mind is on way to the business at Abuja. You are listening to sermon and the same time thinking about the traffic while going home at the end of the service. Sometimes you are overwhelmed with how, why, when so intense that you lose appetite and sleep. Jesus said, “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” Luke 12: 22, 26. Do you know that fear of failure drives away faith deflates courage and thereby prevents victorious living? It is an enemy of miracles.
Let us consider some of the consequences of anxiety:
1. It blurs one’s vision: anxiety gives false impressions. There are shadows of what never existed. "Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him." John 20: 15
2. Anxiety deprives you from living a faith-filled victorious life. “Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, and “Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. Luke 8: 24-26
3. Anxiety kills. Since it prevents faith-filled living, and the Bible says, the just shall live by faith, anxiety can result in death. It has led many to committing suicide. In anxiety, you can’t retain information. That is dangerous to life for you won’t be able to take informed decisions but sometimes overreact.
How to win over your worries and anxiety:
1. Take responsibility for discovering why you are anxious. Know the basis for anxiety.
2. Stop carrying it alone. Talk to God in prayer about the situation
3. Confess positively about the situation
4. Invite Jesus into your situation. 23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" 26 He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. Luke 8: 23-26.

DELIVERANCE FROM RETROGRESSION

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
President, Abundant Grace Ministries
Alimosho Lagos

Retrogression (setback or delay) is a subtle weapon in the hands of the Devil to frustrate man's destiny and mortgage the glory deposited in the man for life. Retrogression is painful because you are disallowed to get hold of what you are aiming at even when it is so close. An Online Dictionary defines retrogression as, “the process of returning to an earlier state, typically a worse one.” Retrogression is evolution followed by dissolution. Moving forward by ten steps but backward a thousand steps is a form of retrogression. Retrogression occurs in the spirit and in the physical worlds. If you were delivered from drunkenness when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and everyone is rejoicing with you however few days or weeks later you found out you are back in the same sin and even worse, it is an indication that the spirit of retrogression is operating in your life. Perhaps, you were employed with an income so encouraging but you are always broke, it is possible the spirit of retrogression is attacking you.
Regular disappointment at every stage of success is a sign of retrogression that you ought to battle with all seriousness.
Satan uses this instrument to steal away the precious time of man so as to make the person irrelevant in his generation and society. You must fight back and pray through in order to possess your possessions.
The world is a battle field and everyone is a target. Satan and his angels are our enemies manifesting in various ways through diverse media. We cannot fold our hands accepting defeat while God's desire is for us to enjoy the wealth and goodness of the earth. Though God's ultimate aim is for us to reign with Him in His Kingdom, yet we are destined to rule the earth, triumph over all evils till we lay down our sword at His feet in heaven. The Bible says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12. It is time to take charge and breakthrough in the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer. “When you take charge of your life, there is no longer need to ask permission of other people or society at large. When you ask permission, you give someone veto power over your life” Diane Ackerman

THE POWER OF COVENANT

 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo
The power of covenant or oath is so strong. It is capable of making you to succeed where others are failing, keep you in health while others are in sickness; in prosperity while people around you are languishing in abject poverty, gives you sweat less triumph while others are struggling with issues of life and living in defeat. God told Isaac to stay in the land, do not go to Egypt, I will perform my oath or fulfill my agreement with you as I promised your father. God’s promise to Abraham was re-enacted and revived in Isaac that, He shall be the a great nation, he shall be blessed, his name shall be great; he shall be a blessing, those who bless you shall be blessed;
God will curse him who curses Isaac; In Isaac shall all his family and other families of the earth be blessed. These blessings were released to Isaac (biological descendants and Israel till today). Through Christ Jesus our Lord everyone who believes God has been brought into covenant blessing of Abraham and everything God did in the biological Isaac, He is committed to do and even do much more for you and me that have been redeemed and purchased by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us for it is written “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. If you are a child of God, a true believer born of water and of the Spirit of the Living God, I can assure you that through faith in God and patience you will receive what God has promised father Abraham through Christ Jesus, you are under the covenant of life, power, prosperity, health, royalty and priesthood. Remain blessed in Jesus name.
