Call His Name Wonderful

...The only name that can turnaround your situation for better is Jesus. It is the only name that can unsettle Satan and demons, works wonders for all generations and still retain same power is Jesus Christ.

                                          Introduction
 Rev'd G. S. Adeyemo
You are welcome to the most popular season in the history of mankind. A festival heralded and celebrated first by the hosts of heaven on earth. Two thousand years after, it is as fresh as the first occasion. Though not all who celebrate understand why, however those of us that encountered Him would say in deed His Name is Wonderful.
We are considering the topic according to the 6th verse of the 9thChapter of the Book of Prophet Isaiah that reads "For unto us a child is  born, unto us a son is given: and the  government shall be upon his shoulder:  and his name shall be called Wonderful,  Counsellor, The mighty God, The  everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
I am not going to bug you down with human philosophy or theological argument of the name Wonderful, but the Lord will give us revelation that will spark up wonders in your life. The name is more than exciting conclusion of a prayer. The Scripture says, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:"Philippians 2: 9. The name above all titles.
The Wonder-working Name
The name of Jesus is wonderful for Salvation: - Sin had been an age long calamity plaguing humanity depriving us of the fullness of life in God. Coming with sin is death and other perils. After the fall of man, we are faced with the reality of its penalty. Man resort to seeking solutions through various means just as we still do today. We are privileged to repent and receive forgiveness for sin committed and can have direct access to all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places. No other name under heaven can save man from the scourge of sin. The word of God says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4: 12
“At His Incarnation the Name was a prophecy. “Thou shalt call His Name Jesus; for it is He that shall save His people from their sins.”  That “prophetic Name” He carried through all life’s mystery and ministry, the Name that told to those that understood that God's faith was centred in this innocent child, and holy Man. And now having accomplished all, perfected to finality the infinite plan of the Eternal Love, He is invested with the Name which at His birth was prophetic.  The issue is reached, and in the centre of the universe of God, the Man of Nazareth is enthroned, and named by the sweet Name that ever speaks of perfect humanity, and ever declares the fulfillment of the purpose of salvation. At His birth the Name of Jesus was the proclamation of a Divine purpose.”

The Wonderful Name for Healing: - Apostle James says, "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the  church; and let them pray over him,  anointing him with oil in the name of the  Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save  the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;  and if he have committed sins, they shall  be forgiven him."James 5: 14-15.
We bless God for the wisdom given to men in the medical field. The doctors are highly respected for their capability to treat ailments. However, they also are limited as human. They fall sick too and need doctors to treat them. I am glad to tell you of the Great Physician with a name above any drug or profession. The wonder working name is JESUS! The Bible tells us in Psalm 107: 20,"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."God sent His Word who was in the beginning; the Word is God and was with God. The Word became flesh and is named Jesus. He came and bored our griefs, pains, dieseases and granted us the authority to use His name for healing -a perfect medication.
Are you suffering from any sickmess? The Lord has given us a name above all names. In the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, be healed.

Conclusion
If you have been looking for the right and perfect medication for your diseases today, lift up your eyes to Him who was crucified, him buried but on the third day He rose. Call His name Wonderful and believe Him. The only name that can turnaround your situation for better is Jesus. It is the only name that can unsettle Satan and demons, works wonders for all generations and still retain same power is Jesus Christ. You shall never remain the same in Jesus name.

The Power and Wisdom in Church Music

 www.abundantgracemin.com
"This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it" says, the Psalmist in Psalm 118:24. I rejoice with the Christ Baptist Church, Alimosho  Choirs on the occasion of this year Service of Songs. May you continue to wax stronger in the service of the Lord in Jesus name. Music is a lifewire of every worship. Show me a Church without music and i will show you a dead Church. However, we must know that acceptable music glorifies God and edifies men.
The Bible says, "And let the  peace of God rule in your hearts, to the  which also ye are called in one body; and  be ye thankful.
Let the word of Christ  dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching  and admonishing one another in psalms  and hymns and spiritual songs, singing  with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:15-16. A heart that mus glorify God and edify men must be ruled by the Peace of God. It is a heart that submits to the rule of God. In other words, you cannot make music that is accptable before God while you remain rebelious against Him. He demands reconciliation to Him before you minister to Him in music. Choir is not pressure group but levitical office to maintain peace with God and men.
The Music Ministry is also important in the Church life for teaching. Song service should educate to edify the audience. Through it, the weary souls are strengthened. No wonder, Jehoshaphat conquered nations in battle through the ministrations of his choir. Many people are in the choir who could be bored by the pastor's seemon but through the message from music, they are refreshed and strengthened.
People of God, let us participate in singing to the Lord. Be ready to give to the music ministry quality instruments for effective production. You will be richly blessed in Jesus name.
Happy Anniversary.

Strength for Victorious Living

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Strength is the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure. Due to the rigours of life, many Christians are under pressure to succumb to the dictate of circumstances around them thereby lost hope in their career, marriage and dream. However, the Word of the Lord is challenging us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We are to draw strength from the Lord’s mighty power. He is the Almighty that created all things visible and invisible. He controls all that we can fathom and those we cannot.
Weariness is a weapon of Satan to discredit God in the life of a Christian, but God’s power will ensure our victory over satanic ploy if you will trust Him. Satan employs weariness as a means of tearing apart our mind so we lose focus of legitimate pleasure. In Daniel 7: 25 says, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”   But through the mighty power of the Lord we can stand and win the battle of life. Believer can enjoy life in the Lord if he will depend solely upon the strength of the Lord. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3: 5, 6. You shall surely make it in Jesus name.
Prayer Points
Every satanic legal right holding down your breakthroughs is annulled in Jesus name. Go and find favour in Jesus name.
Your destiny helper shall not die before time in Jesus name. You shall live to enjoy unhindered success in Jesus name
May you obtain exceptional favour in all your undertakings and  journeys today in Jesus name.
The living Word of God is coming to you this day, arise and shine for your light is come... Rise above all those who hate you and return with testimonies in Jesus name
When you are down to nothing God is up to something in your life. You shall rise again in victory and prosperity in Jesus name.
I can see you breaking new ground with exceeding glory and fame. Move on without fear, you shall make it in Jesus name.

Heal Our Land Oh Lord

http://www.abundantgracemin.com
Today we don’t need any soothsayer to tell us our land is sick. Land is anywhere you can sow seed or invest in. Is our economy sick? What of our politics? Have you thought of the moral decadence in our children as madness and even in spiritual realm? Unemployment rate is unprecedented; mortality rate is alarming while we pay for what we did not buy everywhere. Consequently, we resort to fighting one another. We already focus on the problems more than the One who is able to heal us. We must be ready to return to our Creator to fix our land.
Let us read together: -
2 Chronicles 7: 14-15
14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. “
From the passage, there are four infections troubling our land just as the land of Israel was infested in the days of Solomon namely:
1. Lack of humility: People of God, let us examine ourselves and look around us today to see how arrogant and reckless people of all nations in depending upon technology and military capability.  North Korea versus United State of America, Russia versus Ukraine, Saudi Arabia versus Yemen, Boko Haram versus Nigeria etc. There is lack of humility in the Church of God too. Churches are proud of population, fat account, giant building and titles at the expense of the perishing souls. Heal our Land oh Lord from our madness and arrogance.
2. Prayerlessness is another ailment that is adversely affecting our land. There is much noise from our mouth when our heart is far from the throne of grace.  Jesus said, "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me”  Matthew. 15:8;  Isaiah 15:8, 9; We ask amiss Jam. 4: James 4:3; we come to God’s presence with hands full of blood; Isaiah 1: 15. 59:3; our heart is reprobate on the mountain of the Lord Psalms 15, 24:3-6.  Are you spending quality time in the presence of God? Oh Lord heal our land from prayerlessness.
3. Lack of Commitment in seeking the Lord. This third sickness is killing the people of God today. We want to be healed and delivered but we fail to seek the face of the one that can truly and permanently heal us. This is exactly what these people of God are doing right now they are looking for healing in all of the wrong places.
4. Wickedness is another infection destroying our land. There is violence everywhere; religious, political ethnic and so on and so forth. People of God who are called by His name we must repent of hate speeches, racial discrimination and segregation.
We must come back to God with humble heart and prayer for healing. Let us turn away from all form of wickedness and love one another. Enough of selfishness, greed, oppression and corruption in government. The Bible says, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14: 34
Lawmakers should be humble and honest enough to be transparent in making laws that can improve the living standard of ordinary citizens. Let there be equity in ensuring the welfare of the land. As we all seek God with all our heart and strength, He will heal our land in Jesus name

Divine Sufficiency In Time Like This

Jesus is the Great Shepherd; He is able to supply all your needs no matter what may be your background or situation...
Text: Psalm 23:1
"The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want"

The name Lord points to the sovereignty of God, supremacy, highest rank, unrivaled and unequal authority of God. It is talking about God who is able to do all things and provide all things. He makes impossibilities possible. Whatever He does is the final. By divine inspiration, Hannah declared “The Lord brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up.
The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. “For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world. 1 Samuel 2: 5-8
David had spent great deal of his time as a shepherd meditating and contemplating on the works and sovereignty of God. Every verse of Psalm 23 reveals the truth about the relationship between God and David. What David was to his sheep, he considered the Lord to be that and even more to himself as one of God's sheep. The relationship with Spirit Being that satisfies the earthly needs. God’s relationship is not just a promise for eternity but It is also for here and now.  Serving God starts from this terrestrial world before celestial world.  So, God’s protection is for now.  Having spiritual fellowship and friendship with God is for now. He will meet you at your points of needs in Jesus name.
Our able God is our Shepherd. The Lord is translated 'Jehovah' compare Psalm 121:1, 2 says, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”  Therefore, believers must cast their trust on the Lord for all sufficiency. In other words, God must come first in our reasoning and actions. David as sheep, pictures God the way human shepherd identifies himself with the sheep no matter what may be the condition. He refers to God as the Good Shepherd which is about the human feeling in God as a Shepherd who always identify with the sheep. John 10:11 the Good Shepherd sacrifices convenience for his sheep. “I am the good shepherd: trusting in Him today and always, He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Jesus name.
“There was a shepherd-boy in a small village beside a forest. Every day he sat under a large tree, while his flock of sheep grazed on the grass of the meadow. His time hardly passed. The shepherd-boy felt bored and wanted some excitement in his life.
So, to get some fun, one day he gave aloud shout! ‘Help! Help! A tiger is here!!’. The villagers listened to his voice and came running with weapons. But they didn’t saw any tiger in the field. The large flock of sheep was grazing quietly. The shepherd-boy began to laugh in amusement and told the villagers that it was a big joke. The villagers were angry and scolded him for raising a false alarm. The shepherd-boy was warned not to repeat this mistake.
But the boy did not realize his mistake. After a few days he again repeated the trick and started shouting, “Help! Help! A tiger is here!!”. At first non-one came, but when he pretended to cry in fear for some time, the villagers thought he was in real danger. They came rushing to help him. The boy, amused with his own acting, began to laugh at the villagers.
Then one day, a tiger really came out of the forest, killed some sheep, and then killed the shepherd-boy. He kept crying out for help many times. But the villagers were sure that he was joking again. Thus, the shepherd boy’s habit of lying caused his death.”
Unlike this shepherd-boy, Jesus Christ at age 33, was attacked by the wolf and beers of this world. Satan and sinners rose against Him, arrested him, and nailed Him to the cross. Of a truth, "About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (Which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"). Matthew 27:46. It was of a truth that no human being came to rescue Him. Yes, He died and was buried. But the good news is that, on the third day the Lord of Host sent an angel to roll away the stone where Jesus was buried. Unlike the shepherd boy who died and remains dead, Jesus rose from the grave and He is alive as the only Shepherd that is sufficient for all situations. Jesus is the Great Shepherd; He is able to supply all your needs no matter what may be your background or situation. Just trust Him and experience a turnaround from desert to all sufficiency.
Come to Him and trust Him today and you shall not want.
God bless you in Jesus name.

Praising God In the Midst of Your Storming Sea

Quote: - No matter how hopeless is your situation, God will always be God. He is able and willing to turn your storming sea to praise arena for your testimonies. You will surely arrive alive.
Text: - The waters encompassed me, even to my soul; the deep closed around me; weeds were wrapped around my head. 6. I went down to the moorings of the mountains; the earth with its bars closed behind me forever; yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God.  "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; and my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple.  "Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own Mercy. But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.'' Job 2: 5- 9

 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
Charles Swindoll recounts the story of an airliner in 1968 bound for New York that began its descent when the pilot realized the landing gear had refused to engage. The Pilot worked the controls back and forth, trying again and again to unlock the landing gear but had no success. He then asked the control tower for instructions as he circled the airport. Responding to the crisis, airport personnel sprayed the runway with foam as fire trucks and other emergency vehicles moved into position. Disaster was only minutes away. The passengers meanwhile were told to place their heads between their knees and grab their ankles just before impact. It was one of those “I-can't-believe-this-is-happening-to-me” experiences that led to many tears and even a few screams of despair in the cabin. The landing was only a few seconds away when suddenly the pilot announced over the intercom: We are beginning our final descent. At this moment, in accordance with International Aviation Codes established in Geneva, it is my obligation to inform you that if you believe in God you should COMMENCE PRAYER.
Being stock for three days in the belly of the fish is not a safe place to live, but it is a desperate place to pray and praise God. Today we have national, personal, and spiritual worries. We are all struggling to get out of the rough tide through various channels. In Nigeria, some are clarmouring for diversification of economy, devolution of powers etc. You too were so optimistic about steps taken to overcome poverty, disappointment and ministerial crisis. Unfortunately it seems things are not going your way. “The more you look the less you see”. I must tell you, you can pray and praise your way out of the storming sea.
The last thing in the imagination of Jonah when he boarded the ship heading for Tarshish instead of Nineveh was living in the belly of a fish for three days and three nights. Consider the experience of Jonah in the belly of the fish as he looked up to God in hope and cried out saying, “The waters encompassed me, even to my soul; the deep closed around me; weeds were wrapped around my head. I went down to the moorings of the mountains; the earth with its bars closed behind me forever; yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God.” Jonah resorted to prayer of positive confession. And he capped it with a pledge to offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
When the storm is raging, always remember that God is God and ever present even in the midst of that storm. He is able and willing to turn your storming sea to praise arena for your testimonies. You will surely arrive alive in Jesus name. Isaiah 43:2; Psalm 107: 23-31; Mark 5: 47-51; Acts 27: 13-26
Hope in God
Pray to God
Praise your way out of the storming sea.
As you do so the Lord will send a help to pick you from the depth of the raging sea and deliver you on the Promised Land in Jesus name.

Atmosphere of Supernatural Encounter

In Nigeria today, we have several Television Stations devoted to movies that are largely displaying what we commonly refer to as African magic, ghosts, divination and one form of supernatural power or the other. They show how evil forces manipulate destinies and how to relate with them positively or negatively. This is not peculiar to Nigeria; it happens all over the world. In 2009 there was a report of the rate of involvement of youths in supernatural encounter. The study from "the Barna organization revealed that 73% of today's youth have been involved in some form of psychic or witchcraft related activity. The most popular of these activities includes playing with Ouija boards and the reading of witchcraft and Wicca related books

(https://www.sermoncentral.com/sermons/supernatural-encounters-dillon-burroughs-sermon-on-supernatural 132840?page=1 2009)

If we are to conduct a test, definitely many if not all of us spend longer time watching with rapt attention those movies more than listening to the Word of God. I believe we all believe in supernatural. If not, we won't be in the Church seeking divine intervention in our life today.
Let me share these basic truths with you: -
1. Supernatural is real
2. The Bible speaks about the supernatural
3. To live in this world calls for supernatural enablement.
We are constantly confronted with invisible forces in the dreams and while awake. Just few days ago, one of our aged woman narrated how she saw someone through her window passing by just few hours before she received the message about her husband's death. She sent her ward to see who the person was but no one in particular was there. It is a fact that there is supernatural forces that war against us. Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."This verse speaks with certainty that we fight. Also, the battle is spiritual and against powers that exist in high places. Every power that is negatively influencing your destiny shall be paralyzed in Jesus name.
The Lord shall rise and break all weapons of the wicked forces that oppress you in Jesus name
Atmosphere of Supernatural Encounter: - There are satanic or demonic powers so also we have God's supernatural power. There are conditions that facilitate the presence and works of both. The manifestation of satanic forces depends on works of the flesh, the world and sins. Every life that harbors and practice sin is resident to demonic influences. "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will   do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."John 8:44; Galatians 5:19-21;
Those consulting false prophets, diviners, herbalists, wizard, witches and idolaters are subject to satanic manipulation. 1 Sam 28:4 When you keep company with people who are controlled by such powers, definitely you can be influenced. "But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's Table, and of the table of devils." 1 Cor 10: 20, 21
I decree the fire of God to consume the instruments that Satan is using to access your future in Jesus name
God is looking for a life to deposit him for atmosphere of miracles. It takes a regenerated heart to be God's temple. "A primary purpose for the release of the supernatural, or moving into the miracle realm, is for people to see and believe God. The potential for releasing the supernatural is in and through the cross. The cross is the fountainhead from which all blessings flow, including miracles, healings, and the power of the kingdom."Frank Damazio
The Bible says, "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I  will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and  your sons and your daughters shall  prophesy, your old men shall dream  dreams, your young men shall see visions:  And also upon the servants and upon  the handmaids in those days will I pour out  my spirit."Joel 2:28, 29
To experience the supernatural, there must be the right atmosphere and attitude. This includes: -
(i) Atmosphere of true worship Exod 23: 14-17; 40: 34; 1 Sam 1: 3, 19
(ii) Atmosphere of love v5;
(iii) Right response to provocations/discouragement vs7, 9-10, and 14-15
(iv) Atmosphere of support v3a, 8
(v) Atmosphere of commitment  vs7b,-11; Judg 13:5
Conclusion: - To live a victorious and fulfilled life as Christian, we need an enablement. The only way to to experience such enablement is creating atmosphere of true worship, love, godly attitude, mutual relationship with other brethren. As we do so God’s fulness will be manifested and the Church becomes a solution center.
Remain blessed in Jesus name.
Prayer Points
 1. Lord I thank you for creating me in your image
2. I thank you Lord for the inexhaustible love expended on the cross for my redemption
3. I confess and be ready to forsake all known and unknown sins in my life
4. I renounce all covenants with ancestral forces and demonic powers in Jesus name
5. Every demon resisting God's supernatural power in my life lose your grip in Jesus name
6. I declare my life, home and business full of manifestation of supernatural power in Jesus name
7. I receive divine touch for the demonstration of supernatural power in Jesus name

When the Wind Blows

Text: Psalm 18: 29-30

 Reverend &Mrs David Korede
The Moderator,
Good News Baptist Association Lagos
Pastor, Shalom Baptist Church Isheri Lagos Nigeria
June, 2017,
Once there lived a farmer who owned a land along the coast of the Atlantic ocean. Even after letting out several advertisements for recruitment to take care of his farm, no one seemed to sign up for it.People were reluctant to work along the Atlantic, it had frequent raging storms. These storms were cruel, violent and destroyed every building and crop-field they touched.
After months of advertising and request refusals, a man approached the farmer for the job to take care of the farm.“Do you have any skills or experience to work on a farm like this?” the farmer asked him.“Well, I may not have enough experience, but I can sleep when the wind blows”, replied the man.Although the farmer wasn’t much convinced by the man’s answer, the farmer was too desperate to have someone to help him on the field that he hired him anyway. The man worked well around the farm. The farmer was pretty satisfied with the man.
Then one stormy night, the wind howled waking the farmer. The farmer immediately got off his bed, grabbed a lantern, and headed towards the quarter where his helper was sleeping.“Wake up” the farmer yelled, throwing the soundly asleep man off the bed- “ A storm is coming. Tie things down before they get blown away”.The man sat up and said- “No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows.”
The farmer turned red with fury after listening to this. He controlled all his will to fire the man because at the moment it was more important to secure his fields and barn that to argue with his helper. The farmer ran out to tie the things up and was surprised by what he saw.
All of the haystacks were covered with tarpaulins. The chickens were in the coops, the cows were in the barn, the doors were closed and barred, and the shutters were firmly secured. Everything was tied down so that nothing could be blown away. The farmer smiled as he comprehended what his employer said. Now, he understood what the man meant by when he said he could sleep
when the wind blows. He went off to bed and slept soundly through the storm.

Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life?
Wind literally means real or perceived movement of atmospheric air, usually caused by differences in air pressure. In fact it is the current of air. It is usually forceful, directional and powerful. In real life situation, it implies challenges, difficulties and trials. It connotes storm, struggles and strains. It can come from any direction, at any time and to anybody.
The Psalmist experienced several challenges and difficulties. He was physically, emotionally and spiritually attacked. In fact, he was surrounded by troops of enemies and enclosed in a walled fence. He has lost hope of surviving the siege, but the LORD came to his rescue.
In Ps 18:28-30, he exclaimed:
You have turned on my light! The Lord my God has made my darkness turn to light.  Now in your strength I can scale any wall, attack any troop. What a God he is! How perfect in every way! All his promises prove true. He is a shield for everyone who hides behind him.  For who is God except our Lord? Who but he is as a rock? (TLB)
When you’re prepared, physically, mentally, and spiritually, you have nothing to fear.
Whenever the wind blows, all you need is divine strength!

VICTORY OVER DESTINY KILLERS 2 Kings 6: 8 -18

"Each and every one of us that has believed on the name of Jesus Christ for our salvation is a possessor of the authority of heaven..."

www.abundantgracemin.com

I felicitate with us fathers in this Sanctuary today and the rest of the Baptist family on this year Father’s Day. It is my prayer that the day will mark a turning point for better, success, prosperity and sound health in your life and family in Jesus name.

This year’s Theme is “Victory over Destiny Killers”
As you may want to know, Destiny is the glory of God deposited in you. It is the potential in us that are designed to launch us into limelight. It is the authority we carry to be fruitful, increase, multiply, rule and replenish the earth.
It is this glorious package that attracts Satanic attention. Satan therefore is bent on attack, steal, kill and destroy the destiny before we take charge of the earth. Gen. 1: 26-28; Revelation 12: 10-12; 1 Peter 5: 7-8; John 10: 10; Ephesians 6: 10-14.
You Have a Glory to Protect
Every single soul created by God has a glory planted in him and must be protected manifested and accounted for. We are created in the image of God with His fullness dwelling in us for extension of the heavenly kingdom on earth. Therefore we must defend this treasure to death if so be. If you cannot fight for it, then it is not worth living for. That is why Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4: 7.
God's Glory in Us: Our Authority
Each and every one of us that has believed on the name of Jesus Christ for our salvation is a possessor of the authority of heaven. Jesus said that we have the keys of the kingdom. Keys represent authority. I have on my key ring a key that will open every door in this building, because I have authority in this place, I can come and I can go. A door is meant as a barrier but once you possess the key its no longer hindrance to you. We possess the keys of the kingdom, in other words WE HAVE AUTHORITY. Nothing that the enemy of my soul throws at me will deter me, slow me down, or cause me to give up, because I possess the keys of authority. The power of heaven binds whatever I bind the power of heaven loses whatever I loose. It is so because of the glory of God in us.
Your Spiritual Potential: Elijah was referred to as man of God. It speaks of his relationship to God. 6:9. Therefore we have a destiny if only we are in personal encounter with God. John 15: 4; Deut 7: 6; Exodus 19: 5; Psalm 135: 4; 1 Peter 2: 9; 2 Peter 1: 3-4 In other words you are a child of destiny.  Your Physical Potential: 6:12 Elijah was referred to Prophet. This is is reference to his physical potential. You are designed to go places through your physical demonstration of God’s given talent/gift in your life. Joseph the dreamer Genesis 37: 18-20; Judges 6: 12, 14; Luke 1 17; Eph. 4: 11-14
What is your talent? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your Dothan, a Place to Battle: Elijah was located in Dothan commonly referred to as haunted place. 6: 13; Genesis 37: 15-17.

HOPE FOR THE HURTFUL

An excerpt by the children in memory of our mother Pastor Mrs E. F. Adeyemo who passed on to glory on the 10th of June 2016
.
I got home 5pm with a few food packs which would eventually cover my Lunch and dinner and probably breakfast Sunday morning at least I am sure now that by Monday evening my packages would be rolling in and my dreams come true, this time, I began to brag about the lodge about how my worries would come to an end soon, now, lodge members concluded I had won a huge lottery. My life was still filled with fun, foods and drinks from the party, gist and assignments to be done in progress until about 7pm when the call came in relaying the big news of an accident that occurred which involved my Dad's car containing one of my Aunts, a brother from church, Dad, Mom and my foodstuffs and it was a bit serious; the first question from me was “HOW IS DAD?” “He is fine currently receiving treatment” he replied abruptly “AND MOM?” I quizzed further “she is also here in the hospital and erhm…” with his voice shaking, my adrenalines now gathering momentum to rush out from every available opening, my heart pounding as loud and as fast like a horse's hoofs, my head I could feel it at that point in time also resonating my heart beat; “can you please send me your guardians' contact phone number?” he asked again but I was too impatient to get the answer to my question, tho I wasn't guessing nor trying to imagine worse “sure, why not” I replied after telling it to him off-hand he hung up on me without a response and that sent a signal to me something is wrong somewhere. However the call was made in the presence of a friend who stayed around, I narrated what I had heard on the phone and he said “be rest assured nothing is going to happen to anyone in the car” just to stair me up hoping it was so, I got so engulfed and lost in tears I quickly ran into my room next building laid on the mattress and then prayers started in the midst of tears and nose-floods “DAD MUST NOT DIE, MUMMY MUST NOT DIE…” I wish I could roll back the hands of time and reverse the event, I wish I could just flash back and ask them not to come anymore, I wish I had super powers to foresee and foretell the future, I wish this I wish that soon consumed me I almost lost my mind.
Soon after, same number called me back lost in suspense to hear how mom was fairing he asked “do you have any other number your guardian is using? Because this is not going through” “No” said I, “TALK TO ME, WHAT'S GOING ON?” I asked one more time with tears in my eyes rolling down my cheeks; “Did he just hang up on me again?” I wondered five minutes later the final call which changed the atmosphere came in was a bit reluctant to pick up but because my anxiety and curiosity are both thirsty of the truth I had to pick up after the third beep and the words were like this “Isaac, Dad and Mom were involved in a multiple accident and it was very serious” “ehn ehn so?” I cut in “and I am sorry MOM IS GONE” He said I hissed even in the midst of my tears in disapproval “gone to where” I asked “Isaac Mom is DEAD” The news threw the phone I had inherited from her while resuming as a fresher into the University on the wall it scattered so bad each part was picked up from various axis of the room I exclaimed and my wailing drew the attention  of co-tenants to my room I was wailing so high neighbors had gathered behind my window, the Landlord and his wife had heard this noise.  I further screamed jumping and distorting the room no one could come closer risking getting punched or slapped or injured “MY MOM IS GONE” I said with no one asking me “gone to where?” Sister Yeti my school mother asked “she is gone o, somebody help” This time around they knew they were in for a serious business and not joke Isaac drenched in sweats and tears this is not a joke anymore it was more like a drama some were still wondering “ah ha is he joking this time again ni?” they murmured “probably he is rehearsing his part in the drama presentation” another said “MY LIFE IS IN SHAMBLES, AND MY FUTURE IS OVER HERE” These were the words that finally locked the room and shut the whole place down, they were uttered by me as far as I can remember I was held by 3 hefty men, sat me down on the mattress but the wailing got no help. The room which used to be the centre for jokes and food soon turned into a mourning room, at that point I felt an emptiness in my heart, it was so real I felt I would die before dawn, “Isaac take it easy ehn, she can't just die like that” said a brother “Impossible” another responded “we need to pray people of God” my favorite brother in the lodge suggested and in no time they all concurred. Few seconds into the prayers, Bible quotations hitting each other, commotion of tongues and authorities but faith was put to test which everyone passed but fortunately it was God's decision to take His saint away and no amount of prayers would be enough to reverse His decisions; Forty-five minutes or less into prayers but to no avail Spirit-filled brothers and sisters succumbed to God's will “Mom is gone” I kept on repeating on my lips till it sank into my subconscious and swept my feet of the ground into sleep.
To God be the glory for hope for the hurtful as recorded in the Scripture which has been our consolation as we mark the 1st Year in memory of our mother Pastor Mrs Eunice Foluke Adeyemo. The Bible says, “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”  1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18
May the Lord uphold us and the Church till we see the Lord’s return with His saints in Jesus name.

Laying All on the Altar

BIBLE TEACHING OUTLINE FOR THE YOUTH WEEK HELD AT CHRIST BAPTIST CHURCH
46 Akiwowo Street, Jimoh Bus Stop, off Egbeda Akowonjo Rd Alimosho Lagos

Topic: - Laying All on the Altar                                                           By: - Rev’d G. S. Adeyemo
Text: - Romans 12: 1, 2                                                                        Date: -6th June 2017

Introduction
Christian commitment is a matter of choice. No one can impose commitment or obedience in the Christian context. The word of God says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a water course wherever he pleases” Pro. 21:1. In order to conform to the divine purpose of God, each of us must get to a point of choosing between doing the will of God or not doing it. Deut. 11: 26, 28; Josh. 24: 15; Isa. 1: 18, 19; 2 Cor. 2: 9.
Insights for Living
1. The Foundation for Laying all on the Altar Romans 12: 1-2. God initiates laying all on the altar v1. The emphasis is on the mercy of God. Yielding to the commandments of God takes the grace of God. John 14: 6; Rom. 12: 1; Phill. 2: 13; 1John 4: 10, 19.
a) It is by grace that we are saved Eph 2: 8
b) The grace is for all Tit. 2: 11
c) You need to obey to activate the grace Isa. 1: 18
Observe: - how easy do you think it is to stand out in the midst of worldly friends?
2. Doing Everything for the Good of Others Romans 12: 3-5. Each believer belongs to the body of Christ as a branch. You must humble your perception for the sake of the unity in the body of Christ. 1 Peter 5: 7, 8; Gal. 5: 22; Phill. 2: 1-8; Rom. 12: 4, 5. You have a unique role to play in the body. Eph 1: 1-7
a) Whatever you do affects the other believers. Malachi 2:8 "But as for you, you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to stumble by the instruction; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi," says the LORD of hosts.”
b) Your sins affects the life of others Romans 1:
c) The concerns of others in the body is the concerns of all Gal. 6: 2
Observe: -Each of us must play our roles in the body of Christ as we expect God to move in a greater dimension and we do greater exploits as youths and the church at large.
3. United and complementing one another in the Ministry Romans 12: 4-8 the sign of genuine fellowship is oneness of the believers. Jesus prayed intensely for the unity of believers. “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
Conclusion God has arranged every organ of the body for a purpose. The role God assigns you in the Church is not a show off. We should grow to a level in the church whereby we serve not within our tenure of office, but to be more committed and relevant in order to sustain the growth in the body of Christ. John 15: 5; Psalm 92: 12-15 say, “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” No one is an island. When you fulfill your responsibility, and I do my part, the body of Christ will grow and our joy will be full. The Lord Himself will be glorified.

My Utmost for His Highest

Brother M. A. Adeyemo
Youth President,
Christ Baptist Church, Alimosho Lagos
www.abundantgracemin.com
I give glory to God in the highest for yet another opportunity granted the Youth Department of the Nigerian Baptist Convention to celebrate and demonstrate the grace of God in our life. I felicitate with the Youth Fellowship of Christ Baptist Church Alimosho the victorious and happy people, for God's faithfulness and sustaining grace upon us and the Church. As we begin this year's Youth Week I encourage you to enjoy yourself in God's presence. I am sure you will be richly blessed this week in Jesus.
The theme for this year's Youth Week is “My Utmost for His Highest” taken from Philippians 1-20-21 It reads, “According to my Ernest expectation and my hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed but that with boldness as always so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body whether it be life or by death's” for me to live is Christ and to die is gain”
We are in an age when youths are scouting for convenience in all its ramifications. The pursuit of the fastest ways of meeting our yearnings is driving many into various temptations. The Church is not spared of the migration of the Youths from one denomination to another in the name of convenience. Unfortunately, many are frustrated as a result of unfulfilled appetite. Prophet Amos says, “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “When I will send a famine on the land not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. 12 They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it. 13 “In that day the lovely virgins and the young men shall faint for thirst.”  No one is ready to pay the price for end -time revival and the outpouring of God's power.
This year, you must stop running around seeking for the easiest way to get what you want at the expense of eternity. Be determined to offer your utmost to experience the Lord's highest. As we celebrate the year we should also not forget our desire to serve God with our best and not be ashamed of what anyone might say, or rather been ashamed of propagating the message of Christ to our fellow youths in the community, schools, and workplace and wherever you find yourself. Once again, I welcome us all to this year Youth Week and may we all be blessed richly in Jesus name.

SEARCHING OUT FOR JESUS

During these early years of the 21st century, we have faced various problems that appear to have no answer. However, I am glad to announce to you an infallible solution to all situations that are rampaging your businesses, marriage, ministries, and nation. He was in the beginning and is and shall forever be.  “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Colossians 1: 15-20
1. Make An Appointment With The Lord Jesus Christ. This is the time to take our relationship seriously with the Lord. When last did you have a personal prayer night? You started reading the Bible in January 1 but dropped out before the end of first quarter of the year. Go back and fix a new appointment with the Lord on personal quiet time.
There you express your heart desires before the Lord and claim promises from His Word. It is no time to grudge and blame Government or denomination for your woes. Revisit your appointment with the Lord.
2. Search Out for Jesus: The Bible says, “People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the Lord, but they will not find it.” Amos 8: 12. The word came 2000 years ago dwelling among us as the Son of God yet, many have not seen Him.  But if you will seek Him today you will see Him. “When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You get here?” Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, it is not because you saw these signs that you are looking for Me, but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For God the Father has placed His seal of approval on Him.” John 6: 25-27
Search for Jesus in the right place for the right purpose -eternal life. He will manifest Himself to you and your life and situation will never remain the same.
3. Do not allow your worries to rule your life. Stop counting your losses and start counting opportunities for better tomorrow. Do not allow your anxieties and worries to weigh you down. You are not alone in the way. The Lord has promised not to abandon you. He will send help when you least expected. Philippians 4: 6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”  Also read, 1Peter 5: 7; Joshua 1: 3; Hebrews 13: 5.
Prayer Points
I see God raising you as a star to your generation, I see God decorating you for greatness, I see God fulfilling your dream before the end of this year.
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. You are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15: 13.
Rejoice in the Lord for He shall surely raise helps and keep you from failure in Jesus name. Shalom
For the angels of the Lord surround you, no weapon fashion against you shall hurt you in Jesus name. Those to bless you shall locate you today hold your peace
The God who turns around all situations is by you to turn your grief to joy, failure to success, darkness to light, good dreams to realities, pains to gain in Jesus name. Isaiah 43: 18, 19. Shalom

Perseverance: A Price of Motherhood

www.abundantgracemin.com
I rejoice with our mothers on this year Mothers Day. It is a day for reflection and renewal of our journey with Christ. It is a day of rewarding commitment to the course of the Gospel. As we honour our mothers this month, we must know that it takes perseverance in the face of economic hardship to serve the Lord.
Perseverance according to an online dictionary is "persistence and tenacity, the effort required to do something and keep doing it till the end, even if it's hard." Perseverance originally comes from the Latin 'perseverantia' and means to abide by something strictly. Making a mark on the sand of this world is a hard thing. It is a common saying that "To become a man is not a day job" In other words, success is never easy. Let us read from the Scripture "Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."James 1:12
Today, our world is full of trials and troubles militating against families and the society at large. Marriages are failing while some are selling their babies for food. Many husbands cannot provide for the families.  It is very important that we celebrate mothers who with all perseverance keep their home from collapse. Also we need to use this moment to pray and encourage those who are shrinking. If you ask every woman to write story of what they have gone through in the hands of men, I believe, volumes of books will be produced. A young girl told her mother "I will never marry because of how my Dad treats my Mum"the cruelty and humiliation she saw made her believed all men are wicked.
As many of you women that are passing through difficulty in the hands of husbands the Lord will deliver you in Jesus name.

Hope in Time of Discouragement

You shall rise above your storm and onslaughts of discouragement in Jesus name. One of the perils plaguing the joy and peace of men and women across the globe is discouragement. In Nigeria in particular, we are faced with myriads of challenges that have claimed many lives leaving homes and businesses bewildered. Considering all the troubles, poverty, insecurity and lacks in our land, it seems they are insurmountable. However, you can rise above them for there is hope for you. The word of God says, “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.” Your situation has brought you down and you cannot pray or study the Bible as usual; there is hope for you. Your branches will not cease in Jesus name. If there is hope for ordinary tree that you cut down, don’t you think you are more precious than that tree? You are created in God’s image and you have the Spirit of God dwelling in you; so God will not allow you to be consumed by the trials you are going through. Discouragement is an ill wind. It blows everywhere and can actually ruin vision, dream, marriages, businesses, leadership and nations. Your religious inclinations does not immune you against discouragement except you do needful.
CAUSES OF DISCOURAGEMENT
Intimidation from the pit of hell: - “Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to-morrow about this time. 3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper-tree: and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, It is enough; now, O Jehovah, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. 5 And he lay down and slept under a juniper-tree…” 11 Kings 18: 2- 5 Elijah began to confess negatively due to discouragement.
The threat of hell that is weakening your faith and commitment be paralyzed in Jesus name. All agents of darkness trying to bring you down shall die in Jesus name
Whatever may be the arrow of weariness that is tormenting you now catch fire in Jesus name.

Persistent illness and or incurable diseases:  “15 Why criest thou for thy hurt? thy pain is incurable: for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.” Jeremiah 30: 15 after spending much money and time on a particular sickness and still feeling incurred could lead to discouragement. Such experience had led to consulting soothsayers, false prophets, herbalists and magicians. However, cheer up, the Lord is here to intervene. He will pardon your sins and heal you perfectly in Jesus name
The root of such incurable disease dries up in Jesus name
That inherited curses and evil covenant causing perpetual illness in your family is consumed by fire in Jesus name

Other causes of discouragement are: - Disappointments, disasters, death of loved one, oppression, persecution, poverty, repeated failure, worries about family demands.
How to rise above discouragement: -
1. Beware of what you hear. Romans 10: 17; Numbers 13: 28-33
2. Avoid excuses and complaints: Ruth 1: 20-21; Jonah 3
3. Stay around people of pure faith
4. Cultivate the habit of praise and thanksgiving Phil 4: 6-7
Conclusion
As you do these, examine your heart, if there be any sentiments or unconfessed sins. Approach the throne of grace with all humility and sincerity of heart. Confess your sins and decide to forsake them. Invite Jesus into your situation and life. Finally, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; 7 casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. 11 To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Overcoming Life’s Challenges through Jesus Christ

wwwabundantgracemin.com
The World is tough but we can be victors. it is indisputable fact that the world can offer anyone except troubles. There are challenges include pain, both physical and emotional; fear, frustration, disappointment, discouragement, natural or man-made disasters, disease and death, Christian or not.  Troubles are a universal language. “No one is without troubles, without personal hardships and genuine challenges.  That fact may not be obvious because most people don't advertise their woes and heartaches.  But nobody, not even the purest heart, escapes life without suffering battle scars” -Richelle E. Goodrich. Our life’s challenges are either temptations, or persecutions, or afflictions. However, they are meant to shape us and mold us into the divine agenda.  If achieving goals were easy, everyone would do it quickly and without difficulty. Even if your vision is clear and you can articulate a detailed destiny, there are always obstacles in the path. Those who succumb to their life’s challenges are crushed and have no fulfillment.
I declare to you today, the challenges you see today shall bow before you in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord shall lift up your head and anoint you with fresh oil in the name of Jesus Christ. Psalm 92: 10
The Lord won’t give us more than we can handle. The basic truth is God knows every detail about our life. He knows the good things, and He knows the ugly things. No part of you is hidden from His presence. He knows your genuineness as a Christian or otherwise. The word of God says. “And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and lay open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”  Hebrew 4: 13. He will not give you more than you can handle. His abiding presence will see us through. He says, “19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.”
You shall rejoice again in Jesus name
Stop bowing to your situations and challenges, the Lord shall silent your storm in Jesus name
Conclusion
In difficult times, man is tempted to employ human weapons but they cannot stand the heat and fiery shorts of the Devil. Satan rules the world system against people of God. So it is of no use going to people of the world for help. All you need to do is to pray:
Lord Jesus, I agree that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. You suffered and died for my sake. I am ready today to forsake my sinful life. I invite you into my heart today. Save me and be my Lord for the rest of my life. I will always serve my God in fellowship with other believers in Christ. Thank you for saving me.

The Power of God through the Cross of Christ

www.abundantgracemin.com
Text: - “The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.”
The Truths about Christianity:
1. Christianity is not all about denomination
2. Christianity is not all about education
3. Christianity is about crucification, resurrection and redemption
Considering verses 12&13 of 1 Corinthians 1, Apostle Paul rebuked the church in Corinth for religious segregation. Such chasm was bone out of complexity.  “Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas;  and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?” It is high time the body of Christ stop denominational barriers for Christ did not suffer and die for that. The focus of any denomination should be on Christ crucified which is the power and wisdom of God for the salvation of the world. “18 For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.”
Secondly, Christianity is not all about certificates or degrees in education. Philosophy and sciences are limited in their efforts to give everything man requires. “Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumbling block, and unto Gentiles foolishness; 24 but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.” Knowledge is good. The Lord gives mankind intellect, instinct not to dispute Him but to demonstrate His glory. Every effort to explain and prove the works of God out of ordinary common sense ends in foolishness.
What is the cross all about? It is the cross that tells us that we are not gambling with our faith. It is the cross that tells us that the stakes are real. Prophet Isaiah says, “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
The cross of Christ is significant to Christian faith. Through the cross, God offered His only begotten Son as sacrifice for the entire world for all our sins and its consequences.
Coming with sin are sorrow, griefs, moral decadence and bodily afflictions.
The cross makes knowing God personal, not merely personal for us but for God. He sent his Son to die! He paid the price that no human father or mother would ever pay for the sake of anyone. His Son Jesus gave up glory itself for the purpose of dying for us.
Therefore you can trust Him for remission, provision, satisfaction and redemption.
You can just approach the throne of grace with your desires as you pray:
Lord Jesus I thank you for taken my griefs and sorrows that I may be free.
By the power in the bloodshed on the cross of Christ Jesus, every evil covenant against my destiny is canceled in Jesus name.

Giving to God: Turning the Tide

“13 Now when Jesus heard it, he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard thereof, they followed him [a]on foot from the cities. They said to Him, We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish. He said, Bring them here to Me. Then He ordered the crowds to recline on the grass; and He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and blessed and broke the loaves and handed the pieces to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people." Matthew 14:17-19
Observe: -
1. When your attention is on what you don’t have you will put yourself under unnecessary tension.
 Reverend G. S. Adeyemo
2. If we will just give God what we have, God will use it and give us back more than we had.
3. If God could do it then, He can do it now and He will do it.
Revelations: -
1. When your attention is on what you don’t have, you put yourself under unnecessary tension. Our biggest mistake in life is focusing on what we don't have. The past failure or lacks should not determine your mood. Let your focus be on what God has for you in the future and position yourself for it. When your location is right, your allocation will locate you.
In verse 13 of the passage above, the Bible says, “Now when Jesus heard it, he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard thereof, they followed him on foot from the cities” Jesus withdrew to the desert and people followed him from cities to that desert.
What a paradox; moving from cities to desert. However, Jesus was in the desert at the time and the people were there with Him. Are you where Jesus can be located when you lack? If yes, definitely you don’t need to worry about what you do not have.
2. If we will just give God what we have, God will use what you give to give back more than we had need. Beloved, when life’s demands are too demanding, what you need to do is giving what you have to God. You are the one feeling what you have is too small. However, God is able to amplify whatever you offer Him and give back to you.
Life brings its twist and turns through financial marital pressure, people persecuting and intimidating you.  Job says, “Yet man is born to trouble,
As the sparks fly upward” Job 5: 7. God is always ready to turn the tide in your favour. Our Lord and the Disciples were facing challenge of paucity of food for the crowd. They said, “Said to Him, We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish.”   But “He said, Bring them here to Me.:” Do not withhold what you have no matter how small, bring it to Jesus. Luke 6: 38. There is danger in overestimating your poverty. It is very easy to overstate our poverty due to life and think that all hope is lost. During the recession in the land of Israel, the widow of Zarephath faced such embarrassing situation. “12 And she said, As Jehovah thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but a handful of meal in the jar, and a little oil in the cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” 1 Kings 17: 12-13.
3. If God could do it then, He can do it now and He will do it. He is God yesterday today and forever. The Lord says, I am the Lord I changeth not. The Psalmist says, “I said, ‘O my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days; Thy years are throughout all generations. Of old Thou didst lay the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. Even they will perish, but Thou dost endure; and all of them will wear out like a garment; like clothing Thou wilts change them, and they will be changed. But Thou art the same, and Thy years will not come to an end.” Psalm 102:24-27. Situations change. People and principle, Government changes. There is nothing here on earth that cannot change. The unchanging God changes all. Your situation will change for better.
The God who provided for the widow of Zarephath will meet you at your points of needs. He did it for the five thousand followers in the New Testament as recorded by Matthew; He will do it in your life. He will do it our nation and businesses.

CONFRONTING YOUR DEMONIC CONFRONTATIONS

“And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.” 1 Peter 5: 10
                                             Observations
Confrontations abound in this world and are inevitable; they are sometimes referred to as challenges. At other times, they could be the giants threatening your very existence. The degrees of confrontations differ from person to person and place to place. However, God is aware of what you are facing right now. He has provided all it takes to confront and conquer such confrontations. As you overcome each challenge, the Lord is glorified. The Bible says, “God of all grace… shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you”
Whatever is the satanic weapon confronting and challenging your destiny, the Lord who called you out of the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of His Son Jesus Christ is in charge to see you through. Put your trust in Him and rely on His word. Surely, your testimonies are at hand.
No matter how big your challenge seems that may be threatening your life, I can assure you that you can confront and sink it completely when you trust God’s word.
Kathy Caprino says“Engaging in productive confrontation paves the way for diversity of thought, developing healthy boundaries, arriving at new, innovative approaches, better decision-making, and challenging the status quo, all of which are essential if we want to thrive in our lives and work.”
Major Confrontations include:
Tribulations:  intense encounters or struggles, bursts of anger, grief, infirmities, physical limitations and illnesses.
Temptations: opportunities to yield to our sinful nature,
Persecutions: harassment and oppression due to religious convictions
Afflictions: Necessities wear and care of daily responsibilities, distresses: disappointments and deep hurts

Confronting Your Confrontations
The ways to confront your confrontations are:
1. Use the word of God. The author of the Book of Hebrews says God’s word is quick, which means that it is alive. The word of God is not some fabricated fairy tale, that’s why it has stood the test of time. Jesus says in Matt. 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
2. Rely on the Holy Spirit. Before Jesus ascended to heaven he gave words of consolation to the disciples saying, “These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33
3. The Blood of the Lamb. In the blood of the Lamb –Jesus Christ, there is protection, deliverance and victory. Exodus 11: 13; Heb. 2: 14, 15; Rev 12: 7-11.
Conclusion
It is a fact that the world is a battle field but the truth is every child of God is a winner. All you need to do is to appropriate the authority of sonship through the word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus Christ. And I declare to you this day that all forces confronting your destiny lose their grip and power over you in Jesus name.

Freedom From Poverty and Lacks

www.abundantgracemin.com

Poverty and lacks are demonic most powerful and deadly strongholds to perpetually keep the world in bondage. It is a limitation of destiny and constraints to visions. The Church of God and every believer must fight and overcome these deadly enemies in order to fulfill divine purposes for which they are called.
In Africa and in Nigeria in particular, majority are said to be living below poverty level. As a result of the scourge of poverty and lacks, there is prevailing corruption, oppression, terrorism, restiveness and many more crimes than the developed world.
It is God's will that we have more than sufficient to fulfill his will. "And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know  that I am in the midst of Israel, and  that I  am the Lord your God, and none else: and  my people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I  will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and  your sons and your daughters shall  prophesy, your old men shall dream  dreams, your young men shall see visions:  And also upon the servants and upon  the handmaids in those days will I pour out  my spirit." Joel 2: 24-29. This is certainly the will of God for His people to be abundantly satisfied. His desire is for us to overcome poverty and lacks both in the physical and in the spiritual.
How can we overcome poverty and lacks?
These following principles will help us overcome poverty and lacks as individual, family and the Church.
Have the right perception of the situation: - "Many of man's achievement are tied to perception; if you do not perceive, you cannot receive." (Femi Emmanuel). In the Book of 2 Kings 2: 1, 2, Elisha did not see vision or prophesy to the woman till he made the woman had the right perception of herself. “The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha,  “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.” She never saw anything in the family that could fetch them enough money to offset the debt her late husband left behind. Poverty is capable of blindfolding one's eyes except by the help of spiritual counsel.  Apostle Paul prayed for spiritual enlightenment for the church of God. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,” Ephesians 1: 18; 2 Kings 6: 17 -20; Matt. 15: 34; Mark 8: 5
Be ready to invest whatever you have.  It is true the Lord says, “But there will be no poor among you; for the LORD will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess—“Deut. 15: 4. However, prosperity is not automatic but comes with the blessings of God on diligent efforts. God is not against business. He wants us to be entrepreneur when the Bible says, “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Gen. 2: 15. Work or business is not a curse but God's way of making man responsible and accountable for the world he lives in. you can determine your future through your action or inaction. “Speculation is an effort, probably unsuccessful, to turn a little money into a lot. Investment is an effort, which should be successful, to prevent a lot of money from becoming a little.”
― Fred Schwed Jr.
The man of God told the widow to borrow additional pot in order to share what she has into them. Subsequently, he told her to “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.” 2 Kings 4: 7. Do not eat up all your income, sell, pay debt and take care of your family from the balance.
Beloved, you can overcome poverty and lacks if you can see things with the eyes of God and not the way situation and people around define it. It is not all about what they said but about what you see and the way you see that will change your poverty level to prosperity. Do not be driven by what you can consume but what you can provide. As you meet needs of others, they will provide for what you will live on. Remain blessed in Jesus name.
